I think the right mix would be just one person from Tiswas, someone from Get Fresh,Neil Buchanan, someone from a 90s show and Brian and Tess from SMTV. Fingers crossed [literally] they'll have at least someone from SMTV!
As part of the ITV50 celebrations, Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern are joined by a host of stars from Saturday Morning shows past and present. Plus, classic clips and memorable games and new episodes of Captain Scarlet, SpongeBob SquarePants and Planet Sketch- from radiotimes.com
Sounds good!
Do we think we will see Chris Tarrant & Lenny Henry on this at all?
I predict we'll see Ant & Dec, Andy Crane, Pat Sharp, Neil Buchanan and Chris Tarrant. Ram Ray would have the names of 5 former ITV Saturday morning shows on them. Maybe Chris Tarrant will go back to his roots and take part in the Thank You Desk!
I hope they also will have on Frank Sidebottom, as he appeared on Saturday Morning Television at TVS Maidstone for a number of years - Number 73 & Motormouth.
He could do some funky dancing when the bands are on
Looks like D&D have copied MOM by introducing a pet, i could of sworn i saw a basket on the floor for a dog or cat this morning. I didnt watch all of D&D this morning.

There was a dog, probably a sly dig at MOM. That shows becoming so naff ...i mean "what shall we call our new pet"?
It's a shame that after Ant&Dec successfully moved the Saturday morning format away from gunge, puppets and patronising stuff like "what shall we call our dog?" they've now gone back. With the amount of dross they're offered -I really feel for today's kids.
I think the problem is doing the all-year rounder. They should keep MoM until June 2006.Then split it with something else until December.
The idea behind that is if the other show ended on 9 Dec then they could have two weeks of Christmas graphics and MoM could do it
16th -30th December!
I think they'd go more for a summer fill in.
But personally I doubt that they will. MoM seems to be doing ok at the moment, they just need to keep it fresh. I wouldn't be surprised it they had a refresh sometime soon as well, possibly to coincide with the launch of the CiTV Channel.
Where's this idea that its not doing very well suddenly come from, its never been stronger. This time last year we were discussing whether we thought they would be recommisioned for a second series, now its almost a certainty that they will get a third run of 52 weeks to play with.
