CiTV & Ministry of Mayhem thread

I wonder what's happening with cd:uk at the moment. Cat left on 5th March and they've had Dave Berry since then!I know they're looking for another presenter but come on! SM:tv only took 3 weeks to get new presenters properly.

I think they should keep Dave and add Andy and Laura.I don't think any of them have had a job since August and they might do well on there.
PLEASE GET NEW TITLES! Maybe they could make it fit in with the Ministry of Mayhem logo or have flying speakers and things!

Speaking of M.O.M has anyone managed to find Ram Ray on the CiTV website?. Stephen and Holly said that you can now play it online but i've looked twice and couldnt find it.

I think i've just found the font used on the MOM logo and the coming up ticker!. You can see for your self Here its the 5th one down. The only thing thats missing is the extended tail on the M.

A really good show today, I really enjoy Stephen and Holly presenting it now, much better with two.
Food Fight
Not a bad one today but its getting a bit boring now. I wish one of the presenters would slip up.
Ram Ray
Really funny one this week, loved the makp on Holly's face, lmao. Ray looks as if he isnt enjoying ram ray now, who would? Ramming into doors for a living!
Jibba Jabber
They've changed it this week, instead of the kid not allowed to say a certain word that is now their subject and a guest and Holly now have to give them clues to get three words related to the topic or they wont get the prizes. I have to say i prefer the last format, this one semed a bit long and Caprice didn't even know what a Budgie was!
Cakey Sk8
Hmmmm, a bit dull this week, I'm glad though Caprice beat her original effort (wasnt exactly hard) but hasn't she heard of WAITING! I dont like them chucking the cakes at the audience, I'd much rather them cake the celeba and the presenters. It was more fun that way.
The Doc
Hilarious show this week. Again they've had to say dont try this at home due to the Ofcom complaint. The Doctor is really getting funny again after a heap of crap ones because he got told off for the innuendo. Still not as funny as last year but getting better.

Improvements:
- Get rid of Drake and Josh, its too long. What was wrong with Atomic Betty which was only 15mins.
- Bring back the longer them tune at the beginning with the menu in the middle.
- Bring back the gunge tank OR the Thankyou desk, I dont understand why they dont gunge the celebs or presenters anymore as it doesn't add "mayhem"at the end.
- Dont use handheld microphones when singing the theme as its not necessary and it stops the presenters doing the dance properly. Just use the clip-ons!
- Bring in another interactive game with the guests taking part, something like "What Hertz" but maybe with gunge instead of electic shocks.

Overall, 8/10 for todays MOM.

What did anyone else think of the show today?

I only caught 5 minutes of (due to work) at around 9.40am and found the little device for transporting milk via Holly Willougbhy and 'the magic belt' was very funny, notice how only the crew were laughing.

I agree with you on pretty much everything. Food Fight is starting to get repetitive, The Docs new 'stop' quotes (such as "I'm hungry mummy!" from a few weeks ago) are the only things that a keeping it slightly good.
Ram Ray is still great, but I think Ray knows which door is the fake, because I've noticed over the past weeks that he never jumps as much on the fake door.
I prefered the original rules of Jibba Jabber too, this version was just boring. Caprice didn't know what a pogo stick was either!
Totally agree with the Cakey Sk8.
The lab is starting to pick up again. I noticed they didn't use a disclaimer for the Don't Try This At Home notice, maybe because when they did it last week the voice over sounded as if it wasn't taking it seriously.



I wish they'd get rid of D & J too. Not only is it too long, but they've been shown on MoM before and it's not really that good in my honest opinion. And Atomic Betty wasn't even 15mins long, each short ep is about 12 mins long, and MoM cut about two minutes of it, for some reason.
As for the old way of singing the song and the gunge tank, I can't really comment because as I've said on this board before, I've only been watching since the Christmas Day ep. Though the Thank You Desk would be better than nothing at all.

It was another good funny show, just need to get rid of D & J. Though they said next week that it was the last Captain Scarlet, so maybe they'll move D & J to that slot and bring back Atomic Betty or a different 10min cartoon.
It's not impossible that they won't get rid of D & J even if they say it'll be on the week after, because the week before they started showing D & J again, they still advertised Atomic Betty being on.
But I'm wondering what will happen to MoM's ratings without Captain Scarlet. Maybe they've brought D & J back because they going to put it in place of Cpt. Scarlet, they might be thinking that they can get the people might not watch without Scarlet to get into D & J, so they can keep those viewers, if you see what I mean, then bring back Atomic Betty back in it's usual slot when Scarlet goes.

And I'm sure the Doc's getting those ideas for the funny quotes from Shooting Stars where George Dawes always says something silly at the end of the last round.

Why do i get the feeling that the crew are not really laughing most of the time apart from the bits in the lab?. The science-off's are getting a bit stale for me now, i preferred the normal style of the lab they had last week with Jeff Braiser taking part, he seemed to of enjoyed himself last week!.

The rest of the show was ok, they did a live voice over menu at the beginning this week which was good but they could of added a title sequence at the end of the menu or sang a little more!.

They need to sort out the ending, maybe they'll have a new ending next week? they've gone over time a few times in the past but that may not be the reason for no gunge tank/thanks desk anymore.

I agree with whats been said about Drake & Josh it needs to go, in my opinion its not funny and makes me flick around whilst its on.

Scratch and Sniff definatly need more air time.

Jibber Jabber wasnt as good this week, that was a combination of the new format and Caprice not knowing what half the things were.

The ringtone thing I dont see much point in, I spent the whole time watching Scratch and Sniff mauling the kids. I also think Mr Lee in general needs to go.

Very funny with the 2 kids that had there mum have a go on the Barney ride or whatever it was.

The Lab is quite enjoyable, and noticed this week there was only a quick dont try this at home mentioned by Steven.

As for Holly, well how can I put this delicatly, if she had bent over anymore then she would have had 2 friends popping out to say Hi to the viewers. Now Im no prude but surely for kids tv she needs to where something prehaps with a little higher neckline on tv.

All in all its not bad, but there should be more mayhem.

That's what Bro & Bro used to do, only they had their own sketches to do it (which Sratch & Sniff should have) rather than just in the background.

I thought Mr. Lee doing the macarana was the funniest bit of Name That Tone last week!. Mr Lee is a great character, its a shame he doesnt get more air time like the Hyena's!.
