This morning's MoM had a bit of an end of series feel to it, with lots of long running jokes coming to a conclusion and items being done slightly differently. Of course it isn't though and they'll be back next week!

Firstly Food Fight with Mums and Grandmas, next week they'll have 2 new teams. Ram Ray was a bit poor because the caller got it right first time meaning Ray didn't have chance to "Have another go" or ram into any wooden doors!

The lab had Holly in it instead of Stephen with the return of one of the guests from a few weeks ago, and Holly scared Stephen instead of the other way round.
Then Ray Crazy Frog got attacked by the chick in Name That Tone. (1, 2, 3) Mr Lee (Mr Lee Mr Lee...) was as odd as ever

Also there was a bit of a new item where we had to guess who it was in photos of them when they were younger. Whether this is a new item or just an excuse to see Danny as a child we'll find out next week. It did use the music from Double Trouble though.

There was a perfectly normal edition of Cakey Sk8 as well

The twist with Food Fight was good, though it was obvious what they were going to do this week. I also thought Ram Ray was disapointing because of, as you said, they got it right first time.

Seeing Holly scare Stephen was funny and a nice change, but Stephen said afterwards that he's going to get her next week, at least I think he did. They may have put Holly in the lab either just for a change or because they did Name that Tone straight after and Stephen needed to be ready or something. Another great twist to Name That Tone with Ray and the Chicken, nice to see Mr. Lee still getting in on the action after he has his theme tune sung, this week by throwing the bucket of water on Ray and the chicken. I thought maybe he wasn't going to appear in it again for this week, dunno why.

The section with the pictures of one of the guys as a young boy isn't new. They did it a few weeks ago when they had Girls Aloud on, I think.

Ricky Gervais back on MOM next week! Very Happy

I so hope that's true, I didn't hear them mention it, and the website doesn't say anything about it, because it hasn't been updated yet. I hope Ricky gets quite a bit of air time, it'd be hilaroius if they got him to help Stephen and the doc out in the lab or something, because the lab isn't as funny as it was say a month or so ago, still funny though. Actually, I wonder if they'll have some kind of 'showdown' with Ricky and Ray after their Christmas Day 'moment' (When Ricky was making comment to Ray, asked him for a high 5 and Ray wacked him in the face), which they showed on CiTV on Friday in a segment called 'MoM: Top 5 Bananas" or something like that. Which somebody mentioned here yesterday.

Anyway, it was another great show, only bad thing about it was the presence of McFly.

It's the same thread, it's page 285, as for UP2U, didn't they end the series early last year, from memory.

I didn't think the food fight twist was obvious, though I was half asleep at the time.
Yeah Ram Ray was a bit boring this week, maybe they'll lengthen the road, though where they've got space to, I don't know.

It is interesting that everything seems to have been nicely rounded up, though they're going to continue with them, of course they may change their minds, it's always nice for a refresh, and a nice time when they've wound something up, rather than to continue with things until they're stale (cough...Butthaven!).

I thought the attempt by Holly was there, but it didn't really work that well, I doubt Stephen was even scared, just hysterical, and they did jump on him!

As for the 'who r u' feature, they did it a couple of weeks ago with Cheryl, and Holly (i'm sure she was Polly at the time) messed it up by saying here's a look at Cheryl when she was young, and the game was to guess who the pictures were.
Though unlike yesturday, they didn't blue the faces before the break, so it was obvious when they got to the high school photos.

Ricky Gervais should be fun, I wonder if he lives near by or something.

I'm still not fond of the lack of guests nowadays, they had more guests last year, and SM:tv had masses more even when L&K and then The Saturday Show were also booking guests. I know that SM:tv was in London, but Kent isn't that far away, compared to Glasgow.

Why have they got a Tiswas site,a No.73 site and a What's Up,Doc? site but not an SM:tv site? I might do an SM:tv site actually instead of the ITV version of this!
Unless i have two websites. The funny thing is, i wanted to set it up on the 14th January! Very Happy

Well it's definately true, I've just seen next weeks Radio Times and it says Ricky Gervais will be on MoM this Saturday, to talk about the new film 'Valiant', which I'm sure we've all seen the ad too. (The one about the pigeons)

Really bad news about this weeks MoM. Ricky Gervais will NOT be on the show Crying or Very sad

I just went onto the MoM website and this is what it said:

"This week we'll be welcoming back Danny Young - he plays Warren Baldwin in Coronation Street. He’ll be joining in the fun all morning as well as playing Cakey SK8 and Name That Tone. He’ll also be bringing down Nailah and Zaraah who play the new "identical" twins - Jessie and Joanne."

So, no Ricky this week.... hopefully he'll be on next week.

Indeed, maybe he's busy what with his hectic schedule

That Danny Young, I believe I said he was a really good guest when he was on MoM last time, so it should still be a good show. When he's in Corrie he's a complete poor acting annoyance which is strange really

I notice they've started altering the running since Dick & Dom stopped doing live shows. I wish someone would ensure that the crew were NOT dismantling sets whilst they were still filming. Whist Stephen was doing his magic bit you could blatently see the Food Fight set being dismantled in the background even though Stephen was in one of those little rooms.

Note how MoM has almost completely lost its 'Ministry' feel about it compared to when it first launched. I suppose it is like when it was first launched as it now has seperate rooms again.

I liked today's show. There was a pre-title sequence this morning featuring the hyena's helping the audience in to the studio and then closing the door with the words "This way to the slaughter" or something (which lead me to believe we was getting some sort of new opening sequence but didnt)

No pet alien this week, looks like its been dropped, instead the show started off with food fight, Stephen was back in the lab this week too.

I like the idea of showing the crew dismantle the set through the window that Stephen was sitting behind aka the old lab set, it shows that the show is live and we can have a glimpse of what the crew actually do.
