I think CITV is going to have a new look and are with all the talk of the new hour long lunchtime news and des and mel going back to the afternoon when paul o grady comes back that CITV will start at 3pm or 3.05pm

Which here in the land of channel could be the death of the best show on for kids since smtv Puffins Pla(i)ce with Kevin Pamplin

They will most probably change things soon. The programmes are great, it's just presentation and humans that are lacking!

I'm not sure what they're planning to do with Des & Mel, it may just be on January - March at 5pm.
I think Paul's back for 16 weeks from March - June, and then will be back in September/October - December.

You'd think that they'd bring Des & Mel back for June- Sept/Oct, but talks are on with Sharon Osbourne, and I can only think that this is where she's going to go.

They may save the 1pm, soon to be 1:30 slot for 60 Minute Makeover, Too Many Cooks and Loose Women.

Though i don't know!

Just out of interest what is happening to MOM when the new series of Captain Scarlet starts on the 12th Feb as its scheduled to go out at 9.30am? is it going to be shown within MOM or what? If the show is a hit id imagine it would be a big boost to MOM

I imagine that it will go inside MoM, thus the wierd timeslot of 9:30 as opposed to 9:25. It's also nice to hear that they will be repeating the episode on ITV2 and ITV1 (though I presume it will be at night on ITV1).

And it does depend on the audience who go for Captain Scarlet, if any do!
It'll most probably replace Pet Alien and Atomic Betty as they're repeating these, though they're also repeating Drake & Josh too.

On a CiTV note, things are looking different today, thanks to a new friday song, and wierd grapphics with birds and mad monkeys that works so well!
They've even got a sort of menu within the song, it'll make friday's different, but it's a shame it can't be done all week, or something similar. Sort of like CiTV, Children's Programmes for Mad People.

It could become a good brand identity for CiTV to go along with these animal things as really at the moment they have no real identity, bar of course the actual logo (that has nothing to do with any of the corporate ITV logos).

It isn't presenters, but it's cheaper on their front. They could always as I've said before have emails and texts, even if they scroll over programmes, and phone competitions, just treat it like a radio programme except with programmes rather than songs in between.

Sadly yes. The programme was produced by Keith MacMillan who devised the format of "The Chart Show" in 1986 which may explain the virtual presenter format although I think they added Claudia Winkleman to present OBs from a toy shop with game inserts. That's all I can really remember thankfully as I never saw fit to seeing a full edition.

Congratulations to Holly. She may not have had long to dance the signature tune to MOM this morning but for the first time in months it looked like she was really trying to do the old routine. I cant wait to see what she manages at the end of the show!

Just when I was expecting a decent conlusion to MOM, the programme was taken off air before the dance got underway. Don't those MOM directors have watches? When are they going to get it right?

Yup - surely they could have allowed them just a bit more time for the song?! Rolling Eyes

Indeed, did they have someone on work experience watching the clock this morning!. I can't believe nobody in the gallery realised they were running over!
