Maybe because the presenters have always called it MoM?!

Not really, well not on air.

Before today it was mostly referred to either as the Ministry of Mayhem or as the Ministry, the only time MoM was mentioned in it's short form was for the email address.

It will be interesting to see if they use this to change anything.

It did seem wierdly wrong saying MoM when the music and graphics still said Ministry of Mayhem. No doubt the theme and dance will go if they change it to MoM though, unless they change the line to something...MoM like 'here comes' or 'this is/was'.

Can I just say that this thread deserves an award for the longest running thread.

This weeks TV guide and my on-screen epg is calling it M.O.M now.
Noticed a few things before i go on about today's show fistly, no plug for UFO Next week and no next week menu trail, the CDUK coming up Menu replaced it instead, could something be changing next week or did they run over time?.

Today's show was OK, but they used that shortened version of the theme...again Rolling Eyes . Was it me or was Atomic Betty Shorter than previous weeks?

I havent watched all of today's show back, i'll add more to this post when i have.

I also noticed them calling it M.O.M. instead and I did also notice no preview for what's on next week, maybe these are little hints they are changing? Though they'd still surely tell us. But you could be right they may just have run out of time, but I'm pretty sure they advertised that CD:UK was coming up last week too.

Did anyone else notice that on the opening credits to Pet Alien there where no words sung on it? But Atomic Betty was the same length, if it was shorter it was probably only by a few seconds.

The dance in both opening and closing titles of MOM was worse than ever this morning. How can we let the programme makers know our dissatisfaction? Everyone here seems to agree.

Can anyobody tell me the definisitve reason why Michael Underwood was dropped. It seems a shame not to have him around any more.

Am I the only person to find Stephen Mulhern's laugh attractive? He's like a big kid!

How much more innuendo can the Doc pack into his scripts before he's dropped from what is, after all, a children's programme!

Atomic Betty deffently felt a bit shorter today about 5 or 6 minutes where usually it feel's like a 10 minute cartoon. We didnt get told about the July 04 Re-vamp last year, usually if something is changing on programme/channel they usually say "Watch next week something exciting is happening".

Also a year today the first show of M.O.M aired, i wish i have it on tape as i only have episode 8-to present. I've been trying my best to see if i can get copies of episodes 1-8 but had no luck, The foundation said they do not have facilities to copy episodes.

There were no sponsor bumpers either,so this could mean
A.It's a longer gap this time or
B.Sponsor stings are gone from Ministry of Mayhem [or MoM,or the Ministry!]

I think he might be able to keep at it for the moment, the show is mainly watched by teens and adults, most of the younger viewers tune in to Dick and Dom. When you look at the audiance most of them look like teens.

I taped Atomic Betty and I just checked the tape and it lasted nearly 10 minutes as usual, they usually last anywhere from 9mins to 11mins. Maybe because it's quick paced it makes it seem shorter.

They didn't even really say next week something exciting would be happening, the only referance to next weeks show I remember is when Stephen said something like "If you missed Ram Ray this week then tune in next week, you never know it might just be back on again"

Plus I found that mobile ring tones game boring, though the Mr. Lee, or should that be Mr. Li? But the parts with him I found amusing, the actual game was pretty poor though.

At least they've got rid of the air guitar[or egg darts as i thought holly said at first!] championships.Maybe they're saving the sponsor stings for the refresh.

I've also noticed the change in age group in the audience from kid's to teen's. On some of the shows i have on tape from March 04-July-04 the audience is mostly kids. Im looking forward to whats going to happen to M.O.M in the next few months, the first few shows of 05 have been good so far!.

I still want to know what happened to Michael Underwood. Anyone know why he got the chop?

We were talking a while ago about there being no advertisment of M.O.M. during midweek CiTV. Did anybody else see the new ad for it today after Play the Game, I think it was? It's basicly done in the same format as the previous ones except they've taken out Michael, and they still called it 'Ministry Of Mayhem' on it, I think. So that's probably the reason why we hadn't seen it advertised, because they were making a new one. Though of course that doesn't mean there deffinatly won't be any changes....
