CITV is bad and so is CBBC apart from the c beebies..my little ones love that but -

now with sky... kids all love nick..disney channel and the others..citv and cbbc just seems to be just so un cared for..nothing original..the only thing close to ant or dec or something like the old cbbc with philp schofield is Puffins Pla(i)ce with Kevin Pamplin on channel tv he maybe to old now but he is so funny!

citv is just so dull flashing graphics a stupid voice over and full of shows on nick they do have a few good shows but too many naff ones and mom is just so stupid you have to wonder how badly its going to effect on those presenters in their futures on TV!!!!

Obviously CITV and CBBC aren't going to be as good as Nick etc because they are for people that don;t have the luxury of Sky

Well I actually liked the new series of the worst witch.

I didn't notice any difference in the budget really. Of course there would be a drop as the original series were made with budgets from CiTV and a Canadian company, there may have been more on board.

I found it a clever twist to have Ethel's relative become Henrietta's friend.

I'm not sure why they haven't got the original Miss Hardbroom, it is a shame, but I thought the new one did quite well. Not the same and not as good, but it was good.

I quite enjoyed it. I'm actually enjoying most of CiTV's new programmes, even that Prove It which is a nice idea, where they try and prove things that people say, I noticed that it was an SMG production, hopefully it hasn't replaced How 2. Plus I notice no new series of Brilliant Creatures, hopefully they will both appear later in the year, even if Brilliant Creatures can't use Stephen (as he couldn't do the travelling due to MoM).

I infact wish they would go back to the way that they used to do it a few months back. The short animation appear then would cut to the studio with the presenters running out of the big door thing and singing the almost full version. They actually put effort into the dance with Micheal (as he always seemed to put more effort into the dance I thought).

Anyway, back to CiTV. I am really getting frd up of it as they play the SAME f*cking trailer every ad break AND between programmes!!!!! Its getting on my bloody nerves, bring the presenters back!
The new Worst Witch is a cheap rip-off of the older series. It's supposed to be the same school and yet the inside is completely different. The new Miss Hardbroom isn't as good as the older one as she has a softer voice which is just not suited to the part but does look kind of like the older one so thats ok. Finally, this series must have had a much smaller budget as the sets are awful, there like cardboard (Especially the "stone" floor). More suited to Sunset Beach!
They should have never got ridden of the older series or not have axed 'Weirdsister College' (which was OK really, shame it didn't get many viewers and only lasted one series).

What did anyone else think of the awful series?

I actually prefer CiTV without any presenters, I think it helps it flow more easily. Though the reason they show the same trailer is so that everyone knows what's on, incase there are people that only watch a few shows they have and/or don't check TV Guides or anything. They'll probably stop in a week or two. They don't get on my nerves though.

One thing I don't understasnd about the trailer which advertises the shows they have on (e.g. Rugrats, Worst Witch, Atomic Betty, Pet Alien etc.) is they have 20 second one and a 30 second one. The only difference is in the 30sec one the announcer says about 3 lines extra and I don't really see the point of having two?

I can't comment on TheWorst Witch because I've never watched it and I probably never will.

As for people saying that MOM could get a new look because everywhere now advertises it as MOM (in TV listings) in next week's Radio Times it's still down as Ministry Of Mayhem, the only place I've seen it called MOM is on the Radio times website.

I can only put it down to the various lengths of end credits so they made so many versions.
There was also a 10 second version before they started trailing programmes and he ran out of time!

I'm not sure about lack of presenters of not. It does flow nicely, but when you look at Andrew & Angellica laughing and joking on CBBC, it just seems lifeless, especially with no interactive content and enough time to fill with things.

I would like to see the kids being able to get interactive, especially sorting everything out graphics, website and content.
I miss the music to the idents introduced in Sept 2003, i know they now talk over them, but it doesn't stop main ca's, and Eddie on NGA (five, Saturdays from 10am).

It wouldn't be so repetitive if they used menu's, ECP's, and different trailers. Even if it's not a new season of programmes the trailers tend to repeat usually a couple 4:30 shows and MoM.

They should just move Tim, the producer, and the graphics department to London and treat it like general CA's except with interactive content, competitions and things and CiTV branding.

Digiguide is also calling it MoM, but they still have Michael down as a presenter.
Part of me hopes for a relaunch as I like all things new, and then another part of me hopes that they don't as the elements are starting to work together well, and a relaunch may spoil things. Though if it was just a refresh of the graphics (i still don't like programmes with no titles), maybe music and a set revamp, but keeping ideas.

Though again part of me thinks that they should go for the big entertainment show, big fancy set, a live band playing music, big guests and everything big grand and looking expensive, even if it isn't!

Dear me no Miss Bat or Miss Drill and Hardbroom is not as good as the old one, and yeah the set was really bad, Nice to see they girl that played Milly at the start though.

edit: Talking about MOM i have not seen any Adverts on CiTV for it so far this week, but maybe they are not changing it to MOM but ITV.COM listings now says MOM and it does in the Mirror but we shall see in the next few weeks.

That's another thing I did like how good the actors all were for their ages they were all great, it was the same in the old Worst Witch, but I did enjoy it.

As you have said, the set isn't the same as the old, but the script, acting and special effects were all great in my opinion.

Well I presume that he will look like Roland Butter without the wig, and with glasses, unless he just adds glasses to the Doctor and Dad as part of the character.

Found some interesting footage of Michael Underwood presenting on CBBC with Angelica duing euro 2000, suprisingly he looks no different to what he looks like now when he did M.O.M!. Just thought i'd share that.

Did you get a load of that new game? (Ram it)

While is was, in fairness, a copy of that game out of Tekeshi's Castle, it was just so wrong on so many levels, yet right on one.

Maybe because the presenters have always called it MoM?!
