It began with a 'generic' ITV1 logo which was sprung up into the air and turned into the CITV logo.

I've got a feeling that was intended to follow an ITV1 ident, as the ITV1 logo is only onscreen for a split second.

I dont know. It hasnt all week, and CiTV always begins straight after lifeline here in central.

And itv1 wouldnt put the seious ident before childrens programmes, it would be a celebrity one.

I would have liked to see (if any celebs were up for it) a celberity ident, then them being pushed off camera as the CiTV characters and faces in the same way come on, except this time they would remove the itv1 logo whilst building and revealing using the celebrity set the CiTV logo!

Bizzarely the old ident was used before SM:TV Live this morning!. The new look hasn't been thought through fully it seems

Talking about SM:TV Live, there were some new sketches again today!

Why not just make an ident with the stars of, say, My Parents Are Aliens, in the style of the rest of the ITV1 idents and run that at 3:15 with appropriate CiTV logo in place of the ITV1 logo? Would complement the CiTV breakbumper then. After all, so far as most kids are concerned, those who star in the programmes they watch are as famous as Ant & Dec...

Noticed this, also no new dog, which some my say is a good thing. Nice to see eat my goal back and i think everyone was shocked when des saved the goal.

Some new sketches, saw the cinema sketch and the lead up to the david blaine sketch. Didnt think much of the lead up to the david blaine sketch though.

I dont know what we can expect to see next week. They have said that the show will feature live elements with classic sketches and clips put in here and there. I dont know what presenters we will have and whether or not stephen will be sticking around.

I really enjoyed how they got stephen back in the dirrty tricks today, and how he threw the egg, the girl caught it and through it back at him. Also liked how they added a game with the guests, skipping with eggs, must be impossible!

The big thing about yesturday's sm:tv live though was that they used the titles in full and didnt combine them with a menu or anything.

Maybe this was the last time we will see those titles, as with SMTV GOLD starting next week we may see the return of the old titles (he hopes like mad!). Could you imagine if they bought the old set back too? Im sure the new set is the old set with the things stick on to it!

When looking at the Sky TV Guide for next saturday, the programme is labled SMTV GOLD, and it says includes sabrina (not a shock as they previewed the new series saying it would air on SMTV) but the shock was POKEMON! I hope this is true, not because I like pokemon, more that i dont like flinstones!

But if they bring back Pokemon, they may be showing classic Pokeraps before them!

Im looking forward to next week, Im sure there will be lots of surprises. Hopefully if Stephen stays on we will be able to mix his good presenting skills of live with classic clips.

I dont think the presenters in this current look should be blamed, more the fact that they had wonderful writers that had worked on the same show together for 3 years, where as now they are using anyone that says 'will you have a read through this for me?!

I hope people dont blame this lot of presenters and producers for SM:tv going, as its a change rather than an axe, even though its going, i dont believe they got rid of it mainly for the ratings as they are reasonable for that slot, but more for the fact that they want to try something different with different production companies. Why they just couldnt do a summer/winter schedule I dont know!

Hopefully, if the new show goes tits up they may consider bringing SM:tv Live back, as its a great formula that has worked for 5 years!

Yes I noticed that. Hopefully they'll bring back the Ant and Dec era titles, with the endframe changing to SM:TV Gold written in a gold block sort of thing

Yes I've noticed that, maybe they've got it wrong, or maybe it is so they can show the old Pokeraps Pikachu Pikachu P-P-PIkachu.....

I hope that Ant and Dec can fit it in their currently busy schedule to pop up on the last show or two. Cat should also turn up early for CD:UK as well

Maybe all the presenters, Ant, Dec, Cat, Brian, Tess and Des will appear on the last show?

Get everyone in for the last show thats appeared on SM:TV LIVE as a presenter/guest presenter for 3 weeks or more; ANT, DEC, CAT, JAMES (Maybe they won't!) TESS, BRIAN, H, CLAIRE, EMMA BUNTON (with cat whilst ant & dec were away marvelously good 4 weeks in summer 2000), LOUISE (been with cat when ant & dec were on holiday 2001 and when they left at the end of 2001), DANE BOWERS (he's appeared quite a few times), JONATHAN WILKES (so has he!), DES, SHAVAUGHAN (if she is anywhere to be found!), and STEPHEN (even though he's going on to the next show, I'm sure he'll be there for the last)!

If the new show is starting in january, will the last SM:tv be the 27.12.03?

I hope they will scrap the SMTV Gold on the last show for a big final show with everyone involved, loads of charcters from over the years and a history show. If I am right in thinking, there is no top 40 chart between christmas and the new year, so therefore they could (if itv allowed) have a final show for 3 hours (just like another show!).

Emma Bunton, Louise and Dane Bowers will probably show up as they tend to do. I don't think they'd have James Redmond on, and H & Clare, were they ever officially welcomed as presenters or just "H & Clare are helping us out this week" like Stephen Mulhern has been refered to and just keeps coming back!

Shavaughan seems to have disappeared completely!

For some reason, Sunday 5th October has GMTV Up On The Roof showing Yu-Gi-Oh five episodes from 9.25am-12noon. Strangely, it's not due to Grand Prix - there's the USA one the week before, and Japan on the 12th - so why has GMTV had it's time extended to six hours that day? Will they lose their slot outright the following or previous week or something - and will SMTV be KOed as well?

Is it anything to do with the Rugby World Cup?

If not, then ITV probably owes GMTV some time from a previous time.

Is this no presenter Monday or something on CiTV?
