Remember it's the Christmas Special of MoM tommorow. As well as the all new My Parents are Aliens special there will no doubt be seasonal versions of all the usual MoM features. Perhaps it'll be a Christmas Cakey Sk8 with a Christmas Cake, Yule Log and a plate of Mince Pies?!

Another flashback to last year here including some swagtaclaus with Michael and Leah...citv2003xmas02.mp3 [2269KB, 2 minutes 24 secs]

Although MOM consistently out performs Dick and Dom on BBC One, but it doesn't have the domination in terms of audience share of SM:TV. CD:UK out performs TOTP Saturday as well.

Ey? Don't know where you get your figures from mate but MOM has never once beaten Dick and Dom, not once.

Did anyone see Ray on the Busted special today? And an interesting mention of SM:tv.

Yes I did as it happens (I was only watching to see if it really was as cringeworthy as I remember it!), he was playing one of Santa's little elves (predictably!) and he got his lines right. Of course this time last year when it was first shown we didn't know who Ray was!

The Busted Christmas Special was a Blaze production so no wonder there was a mention of SM:TV Live.

Today's Art Attack Special was as hilarious as ever, with his elaborate designs and 'you could also try this' extra ones that he throws in at the end of each item!

Nice to see a Christmas special MoM:
http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/mom_xmas.rm

Dick and Dom had a few Christmas suprises including one for Dom, when he was trying to do his magic trick - getting painted white (obvious that everyone was in on it expect Dom, as they had some special music ready).

MOM certainly put alot of effort into todays MOM.
For those that missed it, here are the lyrics to the christmas tune actually sung by The Noise Next Door:
Get Up! Join In!
It's time to pump up the volume
Wake it to Ministry Of Mayhem (Ministry Of Mayhem)
It's Christmas time, let the bells ring out again (Ministry Of Mayhem
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, everybody sing!
Wake up its the Ministry Of Mayhem
Ahey, ahey here we go now!
Na-na-na na-na-na oh! Christmas time is here
Na-na-na na-na-na oh!
It's the Ministry OF Ministry OF Ministry Of Mayhem

Haven't seen all of it yet, comment on it later.

Merry Christmas,

Today's MoM was really good. 9 out of 10, not sure what else they could have done for a Christmas Special. I'm sure viewers tuning in for the first time would have been impressed.

The Noise Next Door performing a special festive remix (and actually singing it) was a very good idea, as was all the xmas decorations and graphics used. The Xmas My Parents are Aliens was also a good one.

The best bit has to be though, Ricky Gervais telling people to watch the carols on the other side, and then asking Ray if he was raking it in at this time of year!

Today was the first time that I have seen an edition of MOM in full (first Saturday off work for about 9 months or so!) but I kept it on as they said Ricky Gervais would be a guest, the interview went rather slow at first when Stephen mentioned Flanimals, it got better when Stephen asked Ricky to join in on his magic tricks and this is when Ricky just starts saying really funny things, he mentions Blue Peter and Philip Scofield going round a hospital to sick kids or something and Stephen begging the viewers not to turn over! Then it just got mad, the crew started laughing like mad (the kids in the audience weren't) and then Ray fetched on that dog, brilliant stuff indeed today.

Plus for some reason I found Ray being swung into a tree to get crackers left right and centre was hilairous, and he seemed to have got a bit out of place too.

Apologies if they've being doing it for a while, but I've just noticed Digiguide are officially calling the show MOM.

Could this slight name change be part of the changes in 2005 or just Digiguide being too lazy to write Ministry of Mayhem?

I have just found this for Next week:

M.O.M
Holly Willoughby, Stephen Mulhern and Michael Underwood present entertainment for New Year's Day, featuring a host of crazy competitions, live music and celebrity guests to get 2005 off to a great start

I know the Michael bit is wrong but it only say's MOM

edit: Radio Times website says it in full for Jan 1st, but week after just MOM Confused

Yup, that's what I was thinking...everyone calls it MOM anyway, so maybe that's one of the hopefully many changes!
