Des was brilliant I thought - he quit his Scotland Radio slot earlier this year and is now trawling the comedy circuit again. Hope that helps! Laughing

He needs to be doing something on TV! He was perfectly suited to SM:TV, but the unfortunbate axing mant that was cut short. I hope he pops up somewhere soon. Put him on MoM! He'd brighten it up straight away.

I doubt Des would want to put himself through the trauma of that show... Laughing

You probably won't like this, but there could be another 4 with Des,Micheal,Leah&Holly.I'm going to duck NOW.

How does Leah keep coming into this???

Leah presents Studio Disney now!

And I doubt that MoM will change their presenting line up anytime soon.
The thing is that Stephen, Michael & Holly are all good presenters, Stephen often carries the show most weeks.

The thing is that the three of them seem to get on well with each other and the crew. Some of the items are good, but they could do with more effort and a quicker turnover of items. They seem to have the turnover of programmes high, but items seem to drag.

All that they can do is to look at old Saturday Morning programmes, and create new ideas, yet improving the show. Infact look at Paul O Grady, it makes a chat/entertainment show really worth watching just for the stupid things that he does!

I get the feeling of deja-vu reading this thread lately, everyone keeps going round in circles on a weekly basis, saying the same things every week!

Anyway they are advertising MoM a bit tonight arn't they, with at least two showings of *that* trailer in prime time tonight.

Moving away from MoM for a minute, when do we think CITV will introduce their Christmas presentation this year?

You're right! Ministry of Mayhem is a very different show to SM:TV, and it probabally isn't the best showcase for his talents. MoM just doesn't have most of those comedic elements that SM:TV did.

If it's as usual, well since 1998, it will will be on Monday 13th December, though who knows. I'm not even sure what they're going to do.

Hopefully they will do something, though no doubt it will be cheap and nasty.
They could easily use Christmas music whilst 'the voice' talks. I still think that they should give him more time!

I wouldn't mind the voice, as it is cheaper I suppose if you could contact him. Surely it'd be easily achievable to move Atomic Betty to 3:35, ending at 3:50, move the 4pm show to 3:55, and then you'd have gaps for adverts, trailers and a bit of talking.

What are the options for Christmas? It will most probably just be CiTV animations with falling snow, or something similar.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing them use the CiTV logo in a similar way as the Fox Kids logo used to work and be animated as though the logo is alive, a bit like the current Iceland adverts having the products skating on the ice.

Or a Christmas Family as previously stated that would feature in idents, well animations, and maybe even a start up for Christmas, is it too much to ask, even if it doesn't use the CiTV tune, and they'd also feature in menu's pulling presents in that show the next programme, etc.

A bit too much to ask at this point, though hopefully they'll have something planned.
The only thing is that we won't get a tree, especially one with the CiTV bauballs on!

Also, another note, a new animation was used yesturday for a brief moment into the Goodbye sting, it was the lights logo except it was on top of a pole in a city spinning, very interesting!

Ooh perhaps they'll go on a lights theme for Christmas, or maybe not!

I know what you mean about MoM Andrew, I definately keep repeating myself, and I think that's just because nothing changes.

No doubt it will be "My Christmas Presents are Amazing". "Ask whoever pays the bill before calling or Colin will come round and eat all your mince pies" "Second verse same as the first". No doubt the voice will pretend to be father christmas and do a silly voice. And to think Andy Jaye used to annoy us!

I doubt it will be as good as 'Now it's time for Swagtaclaus to give away more presents' with Michael and Leah who were on top form after a bit of a slow start back in September '03.

Talking about that I've got some of last year's CITV Xmas pres, in audio only , here so I may upload some in a few weeks time, (wispery voice) christmas is coming, christmas is magic!

Compared to Andy Jaye, the voice still tops him.
I wonder why CiTV never took on Des Clarke, I'm sure him and Laura would have had some fun. Though Gail McKenna was my favourite of this year, so professional, yet so mad!

Yeah, it won't be the same as Swagtaclaus, ah, now I'm starting to miss live pres again.
Michael & leah were on top form last Christmas, it's a shame that they weren't actually on over Christmas, at all, if you remember CiTV didn't air after Christmas Eve until January.

Hopefully there will be something, even if it's just snow falling, and jingle bells playing.

And I think I'll dig out my tapes of CiTV Christmas Past.

On another note, CBBC started to use their winter idents today, I say winter as like last year they'll most probably be in usee until Feb. A bit like the summer ones that were useed until October.
No Christmas decs yet, though last year they came in the equivalent of next week, if you get my drift.

Though it would be nice for them to add snow falling on the idents as if the snow's falling over Christmas and then is settled over January, maybe even a few bells too over the not Christmassy at all music.

And here's hoping for something better than last years metal tree, remember that monstrousity?

Its the first show of M.O.M at Christmas time on Saturday, lets hope they come up with a christmas-re-mix of the theme or add some christmas sound effects in with the............ current version of theme Confused (please dont use the version that they used last saturday this week!!)
and lets hope that they turn the old set titles in to a christmas version!.

Is this new information or did forumers already know about the move of CiTV ?

CiTV presentation department moves to Manchester
UK terrestrial ITV is moving the presentation department for kids strand CiTV from Birmingham to Manchester early next year according to UK press. The move will relocate 20 jobs and mean the end of network production at ITV Central. Staff who produce the links are understood to be in discussions with bosses about whether to move to Manchester or whether to leave ITV. Most staff work in graphics or animation. Manchester was chosen because top-rating CiTV shows such as Girls in Love and Scary Sleepover are made there. The move will build on more than 20 hours of kids programming scheduled for Granada Manchester next year. The CiTV presentation department now comes under Granada executive John Whiston who is based in Leeds and Manchester.

Nick / ITV deal 'stalled'

In other news, the planned deal between Nickelodeon and CiTV has reportedly stalled as ITV awaits a decision from Ofcom about how much kids programming it is required to produce. Ofcom is not expected to make the decision until next year, though the number of obligatory hours is expected to be relaxed.

The joint-venture deal, originally slated to launch in September, was to see ITV invest in and cross-promote Nickelodeon programming for broadcast on both channels. An ITV rep today denied that the venture had stalled, saying that the channels are "still in talks."

No, this is new information (to me anyway) Square Eyes.

Maybe this will mean that we may actually get some presenters and a GOOD studio!
