Well, I know about virtual dub. It's been an invaluable tool to me for a lot of editing I've been doing (though I've only really been using it as an ARC, but that's hugely important for mixing aspect ratios together).
On one of my projects based around Christmas, I've gone through the last 3 SM:TVs to find a few clips (only got 6 in the end though). I haven't watched them in a few months, but seeing them has really shown me how dull Saturdays have got over the last 11 months. I think there really are so many lessons that MoM could learn from SM:TV that they could use to make the show more enjoyble. they could put a lot more into the show, make the guests more a part of the show, get some sketches (with better ideas than ButHaven and "The Wizard"), more games, have the audience somewhere better than tiered seating. Even CD:UK seems to have slided downhill over the last few months (and why is their MoM rundown so bland? SM:TVs had video clips & a music vid at the end- MoM's is just panning accross still photos). I don't know what it is with CD:UK, but it even seems to have last something this year. Both shows need to brighten themselves up again. Even I'm starting to lose interest, they can put a lot more effort in than they currenty are.
