I thought we was getting new titles this morning mainly because the ministry music started in the background after the M.O.M animation where the logo spins.

I know this has'nt got much to do with CiTV or MoM,but why cant Dick&Dom make their mind up about the titles?Week 1 it was the weird cartoons,Week 2 it was last years titles,Week 3 it was the weird cartoons again and week 4 they were covered in custard!Yesterday it was the custard titles again. Why can't they just relaunch and stop having different titles?

Because the point never was to have 1 set of titles. Instead of re-filming them, they created two extra variations that they can use randomly. They already have made up their mind - to alternate them. What's the point of them re-lauching when they can use the perfectly good set of titles from last year as well? The average viewer is not going to sit at home complaining because it's not the same set of titles each time the show is on. Surely, it's better with different versions as well. There is no need to re-launch their titles anyway. They're perfect for the show and, in my opinion, are very good. Far better than anything TSS or MOM have ever had.

You could alternatively post it in the Dick & Dom thread. To be honest it is just one small bit of the opening titles that varies weekly, and is often different on Sunday compared to the Saturday version.

TSS's titles were great till they stopped having titles.Especially the silver blocks, they're my favourite! MoM's titles were great . I didn't mind the cartoon SM:tv titles actually.Has anyone got them by the way?

They changed the itv1 burst!
Now it's a new itv1 ident with no announcer!Anyway, the beggining was good! They could put that spinning bed in the new titles,if MoM gets them.Maybe the three could wake up in the bed then it could start spinning. It flies through the town with Ray&The Doctor jumping on.
At the end of the titles it could tip them off the bed and into the ministry, which would fly up in the air and onto the logo.

It was ok, but it was well wierd.
The menu and music just didn't fit into place in that order, and it was odd not having the menu where it usually is and then going to the end, it was like the end of the show.

I get your idea TV Guy, so that the titles would be like the Saturday Show's 2003 titles with Simon & Fearne in the car.

Though I still don't see the problem with the original titles.
And there's still something about the show that's wierd, not quite right. They have ideas, but it seems a bit blue peter how they cut to different items. Perhaps the early days where they used Ray in a little sketch being dragged across the studio by something or other just to get them to move on.

It is as though they've got no mayhem anymore. They have funny sections, but nothing really Mayhem, as even the cake fights are controlled and stopped.

Look at Dick & Dom, they came on and did the creamy muck muck lifting yesturday, broke out into the big fight, and the titles had to roll whilst they were fighting, the kids were in a state, one had to go to the toilet to be gunged, couldn't make it in time, the winner of the day had to be decided and everything else. Was truly full of mayhem.

It needs a good sorting out down there.
As individula pieces most of the items work, as they have done through the year, but they've never all come together with a good scehdule to create a great bit of telly!

News from the Home front
Children's ITV editor Estelle Hughes did her bit to reassure the good people of the Voice of the Listener and Viewer that the channel's children's programmes are in safe hands. Not only did she stress that next year's budget would be the same as this year's £35m, she also received the backing of children's presenter turned Ofcom board member Floella Benjamin. The result? The setting up of a children's TV task force dedicated to keeping an eye on ITV, headed by children's TV grand fromage Anna Home . Trust in ITV appears in short supply.

Good news for CiTV in the fact that Ofcom will be watching them closely, well more what ITV are doing to CiTV.
And good news that the budget will again be £35 million.

Yeah I agree with that. The show was moving nicely, they had ideas all of the time, the set was better, they had the post room item, they had better guests and had features like the agent initiation test.

I'm sure if they were still doing those items now you'd be saying they were tired items exactly the same every week.

And talking about the old set, didn't people criticise that at the time. Saying that the little calm rooms were not in the spirit of mayhem. There would be a cake fight and then they would duck into a little room away from all the audience and mayhem.

The performance stage was also very poor in the old set, plus all the unused doors on the second level, and the lift that wasn't used anymore, and the area where the twins sat. It needed changing really as it was full of defunct items.

The doctor was great this week, especially when he said the lines "Now my normal fireman chris is at home doing this himself with the D.I.Y. and putting up bookshelves with the mrs"
and when he said " Now put away the green eyed monster, you jealous lad!"

Im sure ofcom's got a few complaints about the first quote!.

Don't get Old Cynic reading that otherwise it might bring on another 7 pages on why it's gonna affect the kids into getting them saying things they shouldn't at a young age!
