Right, now this weeks MOM.

For starters, I don't like that they have recorded michael saying "All that and much more right here in the M.O.M" because it just looks stupid with him miming, you can tell straight away.
Plus, they now have THREE shows, even though Pet Alien is short it takes up presenting time, when you take out the ads AND the two programmes it is short enough let-alone another 15min show!
I do really like the UFO game now, especially because Stephen takes the p*ss out o some stupid answers (e:g Dragon) which is funny.
Also, I see they have brought back 'Race Ray' which is quite good, thought they dropped it since it wan't on last week but glad they haven't. It was obvious that Ray would have won it he wouldn't have dropped the DVD Player ("Its a DVD").
Cakey sk8 was as boring as ever this week. Even though Geri was quite a good guest (caking stpehen) no body else caked each other so there wasn't much mayhem. Howver, I like it that they brought someone from the audience to take part but Stephen said they had no other guest, why not a member from The Noise Next Door? (who done crap all).
Finally, the Doctor was as good as ever, he made me lmao when he said "would you like to spend a penny on my guy, stephen" but I think he was told to calm down a bit now as he is not as "naughty" as he was, if you get my drift.

Anyway, good weeks MOM this week i think about an 8/10.

Agree with everything there.

I don't like the miming, and I hate the lack of titles (STILL!), it would be nice if they actually put effort into the dance though, as they don't at all anymore!
I'm thinking that Pet Alien will eventually replace MPAA, as MPAA was said to only be running for 6 weeks (4th was yesturday), so they've bought in Pet Alien and will just slip MPAA out.

They started to do it back within the first couple of months when they had Tutenstein, Teen Angel and Spongebob, when the first programme only contained Tutenstein, and one Spongebob meaning that they had ore presenting time than SM:tv had!

UFO is good, but I don't like how it's done from that screen, it's nice to make use of it, but the studio is so tiny and cramped up now, it's such a waste of space, i'm actually wondering if they're using a smaller studio now, thus why they changed the set, who knows.

Race Ray, a good feature, I don't think he would have won though.

The Doctor was as good as ever.
But there's still something thats wrong with the show, it's always the same week in, week out, and when they do add features, they stay forever and a day.
Don't they hire people to create ideas?
It could be so much better.

The way I'd like to look at it is like a morning's Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, they have guests, games, etc. But most important, they build up a big portfolio of games, features and sketches and then use so many each week so that every feature doesn't run too often.

Plus, get a better set. The set's nice and metallic but impractical as the whole of the show is spent on that horrible bench thing, the old moving sofa was far superior, but then again so was the set as a whole.

It's a shame that they can't make changes (especially re adding the titles), for Christmas.

They could, but what are the chances?

I'm not asking for new titles, just the old one's back.
Titles start every show, and no silly dance (especially with no effort in the dance) should.
It's just got to the stage where it's Stephen, Holly & Michael talking to the guests and jumping up and down.

Exactly, I have an MOM ep from about a month ago and they actually danced to the music, now they don't even hop/jump to the "na-na-na" part. However, to be fair, they don't have much room now as last week michael nearly punched stephen with his hand thingy. It just seems so cramped on that stage with everyone their, I think they should go back to their three space set and introduce the guests like they used to (at the end of the line-up).

Is that why Holly pushed michael off shot while saying "Here's whats coming up this morn...."? *cut to menu trail*

No, sorry. I meant two weeks ago, when blue were on.
When he was doing a "na-na-na" it looked as if he nearly punched Stephen in the face and at the end of the dance Stephen said "It was a bit of a squash with the Blue boys this morning".
They should really have their own little space to do the dance as it's stupid with them all together on one stage as they can't do it properly and it just looks cramped.

They used to have seperate spots for Holly, Michael and Stephen on the stage with the drums behind them.

Another thing i want to mention is that fake cheering they used during the show it was really annoying!, dont the kids cheer at all anymore?.

Anyone think that they should the menu trail live at the beginning after the theme?.

They had them on Thursday and Friday last week, they've just edited the old ones. Today they used the spin sign. The only one that I haven't seen edited is my favourite, the one made of lights.

It's a shame that they can't (well when I say can't, they could!), add characters to this (like September 2003), yet have them against the lights logo as the days go dark around 4, and would be perfect for the winter, with the theme tune from last year. Looking at that ident from last year, most of the programmes still air, the only one's not currently on are Sabrina, Flinstones, Tiny Planets and Spongebob.

They could do with some proper start ups and ends, infact they could do with the voiceover bloke sat in a continuity booth decorated with bright colours, and old bits and bobs.

Alternatively they could have the graphic team to tweak the old bouncing letter animations so that the letters and ovals are resized to form the new one, i.e. the 'C' taking up the whole left of the logo, so that the old animations could be re used along with some new ones, and some new music with the new 4 note tune on the end.

I still think that the original set was better in comparison.

They had many areas of the set that they could use for many things. The audience stood (eventually as they sat when it started), on the balconey and stairs and so took up less studio, the rooms could be transformed into anything, the set was brighter, therefore created a happier appearence and seemed bigger, the sofa was an actual sofa that also moved!, the set as a whole looked like the Ministry building, instead of some left over bits from Stars in their eyes, and they had the round stage (perfect for performances) and the big area where Stephen, Michael & Holly along with the kids and the crew dressed up in wierd clothes could all do the dance and sing.

Plus of course, back then they had the titles, and the menu was a proper menu, as it seems to be becoming now.

Perhaps it would be better if they had titles, everybody dancing, then some kid dressed up or a guest says "here's what's on today's show!", then either have the pre record, or have a live voice over person like Mitch Johnson (the voice from live & kicking), who then introduces Stephen, Michael & Holly who come out with a big entrance and end the dance.

I liked the original set, and prefer it to the current one. The previous set had 'rooms' such as the post room, and the archive. I don't like the way that the audience are tucked away onto that tiered seating. The current set definately looks more like a TV studio, and less like a ministry building. A subtle swing towards the SM-TV look?
