You do, he's on about the shooting stars added to the main ITV1 ident, not a CiTV ident.

Personally this year I can see a short sting with a present being unwrapped and what's inside? The CiTV logo. Or something equally as basic/pants.

Good MoM overall.
Noticed that one of the agents had become a security guard, very strange with Ray there aswell! I liked the use of the big baby again at the start, I don't think I've seen him used since the show started. He's some member of production I think, he used to work on Live with Chris Moyles and ended up doing OB's on there!

I loved it how he carried Michael over to the sofa and he fell through the gap between the two parts.
Then as mentioned they did the surprise on Stephen, very good!

Plus they had UFO again today, how some callers didn't get it was wierd, but I prefered it this week how they kept going through callers to get it, and also how Stephen had a Dec on Wonkey Donkey vibe of shouting and taking the p*** out of the callers!

No sketches at all this week (bar the recorded At Home with the Mayhems part), which makes me wonder why they don't enlarge the set again. By planning it out on one of the studio layout, it leaves a quarter at least for sketch sets behind the set. Perhaps they're best just creating a set when they need it like they did on SM:tv, and like MoM did with Holl's Kitchen!

There was more of the team talking, though no post feature, yet two trips to the doctor, including a new conker feature.

Darius was a great guest as he is on every show as he always enjoys himself. It's very strange how the ministry only have one of their guests performing nowadays, they've got them, so use them!

I didn't like how the Noise Next Door just mimed to the shortened Ministry theme, I was expecting to hear it all. They should have left room for them to perform it at the end of the show, and then come on and do the dance at the end. I think that they should get rid of the Thankyou Desk, go into the song, gunge someone half way through the song, or do a mad for it, and have a cage where people are put in throughout the show and then all gunged at the end of the show, halfway through the song!
Plus they could save all of the gunge and just have a massive fight at the end throwing it around where some people with water pistols, and the agents with their foam, it would be great to watch. Especially at the end of a lovely Christmas show, all of them there in Tuxes and Dresses and then get them covered!

Cakey Sk8 was alright, and the caller idea was ok too.
They could do with good proper games though rather than just little features.
I do think that Watt Hertz should return, there wasn't anything wrong with the game, it worked well!

Plus I've been looking back at some old shows from April/May time, and am surprised that they changed the show as it was really good back then, and I didn't realise.

They had the old set, and used the post room, and had the script thing going on, and the wooden musical instruments for Michael to play. The Doctor was as funny as ever (I'm sure that lately he's had a telling off for inuendo!), Ray was used more, they had the Ministry Initiation Test part of the show with a member of the audience, the set looked bigger, they had the rooms that could have been used for anything, they had titles, everything was lighter for the morning, and things were working along nicely.
I wonder why they changed it?

Oh right, yes now I know what he means. Sorry I was confused!
I reckon you're on the right lines. Or something similar to CBBC's 2002 Christmas things using a piece of film and adding the logo on!

I've just switched on Citv and it has no DOG in the corner.
Is this a mistake or have they got rid of it?

Fanoftv, can you please upload an ending song of one of the old shows you have on here? I would really like to see it how it was back then as I never watched it early on and wished I had taped some now.

Thanx,

I didnt like the way they used the word "peformance" on saturday's show. They had the noise next door lip-sync the words to the tv version of the theme and didnt perform the single version of it, so really they was wrong to say "you heard them perform ministry of mayhem earlier". (well maybe a bit of it)

I think someone from MoM has been reading our comments about buthaven, there was no episode of buthaven this week (though it did have the same ending for about 3 weeks) if it has gone it lasted for 12 weeks.

I dont prefer the "Tizwas" ending where everyone throws gunge over the presenter, i prefered the old ending with the gunge tank. Holly's doing the thankyou desk next week so lets hope that they go back to the old ending after holly's turn!.

but it was a good show, it was funny when michael fell over the couch! lol.

i'd say 8/10 this week!.

Agree about the thankyou desk FriendsFanatic, I did prefer the gunge tank ending too.

I liked how yesturdays show was all about trying out a few new ideas, and i think that it's the first time that the Producer has been able to do it without things like Butthaven that began before the new prducer (whoever they are as they haven't updated the credits on the website and have none on the show) took over.

The thing that they've got to do now is to get the right mix through...

-Features (like they based the show on yesturday)
-Guests (not only pop stars, plus when they have pop stars on, they should perform!)
-Games (mainly phone in, and good interaction with the viewers)
-Interaction (they have the ways of making contact, but viewers don't, or they don't listen!)
-Sketches (they need general sketches that can easily be adapted, and good people to write them)
-Characters (that's the premise of the Ministry, even if it's just dressing up researchers!)
-Set & Titles (actually getting some titles, and making the set brighter, maybe even bigger again - especially if they have no sketch sets, and if they do build them where the audience could watch them.)
-MOST IMPORTANT - Ablibbing (the show should be made on it, no script, perhaps a rough one on clipboards, and then let the presenters do whatever they want in terms of short links, and within sketches, the presenters natural personas make the audience warm to people, and one of the best ways that this is put across is within a post item where the presenters just have the post to talk about.

The right mix and balance takes time, though if they have got a re commission then they have time to develop it well, and Mayhem is essential!

I only taped one of them[20th March]!
I think they could show a what happens next clip right before the last break and they could ask a guest what happened next and then show
what happened next and if they got it wrong they could throw gunge all over the guest and have a gunge fight and it could be the same if they get it right but it would be a presenter instead!
Anyway for the last two weeks they've SAID micheal was the last back BUT it's been the doctor! I bet if it was leah they'd get her!

What happened with their screenplay?I never saw that being resolved!
Anyway to solve the titles problem they could add something to their beginning at start or the end.

I agree with fanoftv about the doctor; since he's been back from his holidays he's been a bit calmer so someone's must of had words with him!, though when they played the conker game the doctor called over to Stephen and shouted over to him "Cookoo, Stephen, come and see my nuts" and held 2 conkers up in the air.!

I noticed 'My Prizes are Amazing' at 4.31pm today. The phone-in competition on CITV. For everyone watching this will surely bring back memories of 'Bag the Swag' particularly as the phone number is still 0901 07 07 123 albeit sung in a different way.

Of course the voiceover man puts a silly voice on and pretends he's talking to people off camera and goes off on one. If only he played the competition straight It would be a passable section

Was ruined, that was by the presence of that pillock on the voiceover who thinks he's funny. Get rid of him, he's annoying me now.

The competition 'My Prizes Are Amazing' (I presume it's based around My Parents Are Aliens, just the space theme) has running for a few weeks, yet it has mostly been done on fridays, the only day that MPAA doesn't air, very strange.

I don't see why they can't do Bag The Swag as if the person that did swag is still there, they could just pre record them in the day, like they do with Colin as they show off the prizes. Though I still don't think it would be much effort to decorate a continuity booth, and have a still positioned camera or have a tiny space to use, even if it's the area used in 98-99.
Infact before Central News East moves to Birmingham, they have the second studio that is separated, even though I can understand their point that their contract is ending, I hate people that put in no effort when it can be easily put in!

I don't mind the silly voices, they add a bit of diversity to it, especially during a competition, that's just what Steve Ryde did years ago.
It's a shame that they don't let him just talk, and have viewers emailing in and things, as they use a lot of fillers like the Junkyard ones, which aren't actually that bad, but they're still fillers that could be used for better things.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but they had new Start up and end stings today, that are quite impressive compared to what they have been producing.

It starts up with the ITV1 background then a lightbuld appears, goes off to black, then a whole set of lights light up to show the CiTV logo.
And at the end, it's the CiTV logo that's lit up, and then the lights go out and then they have a close up on another bulb where the filiment is glowing in the shape of the word goodbye!
The only thing that would make it better would be music.

I still can't see why they can't use music, they could even make television like idents where something happens, the logo appears and the voice over person talks on top of them instead of just random animations that don't match. It's just nice to see some that re appear from last year like the Jungle Run one, and MPAA.

And I'm agreeing with Puffin's Pla(i)ce's Kevin on MPAA, as good as the show is, it's had no rest over the year, it's like friends, and it's on 5 times a week now, and it is just getting tideous.
At least we have a couple of new things starting. Why they couldn't have had the new MPAA airing twice a week for 10 weeks is strange, even if they bought in programmes like What I like about you, or use All Grown Up, or move something to 4:30 for All Grown Up, and then Art Attack wouldn't have been moved out of what is really CiTV prime time!
