I didn't unfortunately, but it sounds like great days as all of those presenters (bar Mounya who I haven't heard of and Yolanda who is still there) have gone on to bigger and better things.

I remember CBBC on Nick.

You've never heard of Mounya and Yolanda? They're sisters, "Mou & Yoo" was their collective handle. Although you often saw them apart as well as presenting together.

They wern't sisters that was just a myth. I still find it strange that Yolanda is still there all these years later. I believe she's been there right from the start when they had their original studio. I bet she's seen a lot of presenters come and go not to mention programmes, she probably introduced brand new episodes of Clarissa Explains it All!

Mou and You normally did weekend afternoons if I remember rightly with Rick Adams doing 7-9am and Sarah Cawood doing 3.30-7pm on weekdays. Lucy Alexander (of TV Travel Shop fame not ITV News Channel fame!) was still about but seemingly in a reduced role before she left for Milkshake.

Presentation seemed to be a mix of stings and idents that were quite obviously made by Nick UK mixed in with some that were definally american. They also used this font made of arrows on everything from astons to promos to graphics, adverts, stings you name it!

Wasn't "Moo" the first to leave, a few years back now. I know "Yoo" has left now as well, about 6 months back IIRC

Interesting about Nick. So they had live strands throughout the day rather than just Nick L8R?

I wonder when Live-ness will return to Nick. I wonder what they are doing to have so much time off, unless they're doing something to the building.

Back to CiTV, and that 30th anniversary idea, it wouldn't be a bad idea to celebrate 30 years of Saturday Mornings. I'd say get two presenters (infact Michael & Stephen would be top as they're good at live, Michael was good at CiTV's 20th, and they present MoM at present so therefore they won't look back at MoM, though they may look back over this year)., and then have guests from many saturday morning shows and show clips, and play games and re invent items, etc. I'm sure many past presenters would enjoy themselves.

If they could hire out a studio at the London Studios, they will gain more guests as many presenters are London based, and it would be easier for them to get down.

Weren't Nick moving into studios in Leicester Square or something?

I'm not sure. I presumed that they would be as the original press release from MTV about the Leicester Square studios said that there would be studios for MTV and Nickelodeon. But surely they could have continued a live service from their current studio if they are moving to there.

Yes they used to have Nick Alive! as it was known as back then all the time, except for during school hours when it was Nick Jr and Children's BBC on Nick. So Nickelodeon's another channel that has reduced its liveness then? A bit like Challenge TV really. It all took a turn for the worst when Sky Digital launched oh for the glory days of Analogue Sky!

Oh and there was also Helen Chamberlain on Nickelodeon as well although I've erased any memories of this out of my mind. That's a clip I'd like to see I can't imagine her doing kids tv.

Back to CITV and that voiceover man is getting right on my nerves, especially the annoying way he says goodbye!

Helen Chamberlain? Really? Interesting!

I can see what you mean about the CiTV voiceover man. Sometimes it's as he's talking to himself.
When he talks straight like coming next, and maybe drops in a joke, but it's when he goes on these little rants like at the end of today, "Has anyone seen my elephant, he goes by the name of Nigel (elephant sound effect), oh there you are Nigel, good boy!"

I still think that they could drop in some games and viewers phoning in, to make it like a radio show, you don't have to see him to know that he's there.

On CiTV related notes. They've got rid of Art Attack on Mondays to make way for All Grown Up, yet Art Attack is on Sundays, so I presume that it's been moved, and for the first time since Art Attack began to be moved out of the afternoon slot, how awful, and I thought ITV1's schedulers were bad!

Plus My Life as a Popat is finishing tomorrow, whether this is because it was only commissioned as a short series, or whether it's done bad in the ratings is something else. Perhaps they are giving it a rest for a couple of weeks and re locating it.

They have the new series My Life as a Teenage Outlaw starting next friday, plus a new series where a dog talks called Barkers (looks ok), is coming soon, so perhaps they will have this Barkers, My life as a teenage outlaw, bring back my life as a popat and start showing the new series of MPAA (on CiTV afternoons), Monday & Wednesday like last year. If my mathematics are correct, they could start showing them on the second week into Novemer, on the 15th, then they will show 12 episodes by teh 22nd of Decemeber, and could show the last on christmas eve (if only it was another christmas one, they haven't had one for a few series!).

Oh and if anyone wants to carry on this talk of classic Nickelodeon it can be moved to a new thread as its very off topic!

By all accounts the new series starts on the 8th November from the start (so it will in fact be repeats of the MoM episodes which are apparantly only on for 6 weeks) and will be shown Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (A bit of MPAA overkill in my opinion showing it 3-4 times a week for 4 months!)
This will of course all change as we all know what CITV schedulers are like.

There's apparantly 20 episodes this year and a posibility of a christmas one being the 20th, and Series 7 has already been commissioned. How Alex Kew will get away with playing a schoolboy by then I don't know. Maybe this is why they've introduced CJ, so Josh can take a bit of a reduced older role.

Oh and I only see CITV from 4.30pm at the earliest so all I hear of the voiceover man is 'I've got to skidaddle Goodbye-eeeeeee' (or some such nonsense) followed by Kevin Pamplin commenting how annoying the voiceover is

20 episodes??? Wowsers!
Hopefully they'll all be good! They should at least age them slightly so the perhaps Mel goes to sixth form or something.

I wonder what CiTV will be doing to Christmas, they could do an all weekday afternoons until thursday, and then go to mornings from the friday, though as they did in 1998, they had the clever invention of putting on CiTV in the morning and then in the afternoon as parents will be busy, and therefore CiTV were keeping kids busy, and it was a great show too! Obviously they couldn't have guests with their just being a voice, but it'd be better than last year and having them finish before christmas and then that's it. Hopefully there will be the Ministry on Christmas Morning though which should be good!

What do you think they'll do for christmas identwise? It could zoom on a christmas tree and fly up and at the top there'd be a star, which the letters could fall on and it could spin round to make the citv logo.
