Eventually perhaps. Ive got to go out and get a new capture card first though! It's bound to be one very afternoon, its good how they have the main CiTV ident and then one for little CiTV rather than a little CiTV one straight off. Thats my favourite animation so far, as its wonderfully created and we got to see it twice today! Still not keen on the rest!

What's everyones take on the new look overall? Idents/animations, music, set, website, new programmes?

Is there still any chance the full studio isn't ready yet, and Michael was presenting from a small area that was?

Yeah thats what I thought. I actually put in one of my earlier posts. I hope this is the case and that they have put the white curtain across to hide the rest of the studio and added the two plasma for the use of them. It looks a little Entertainment Today as it is at the moment. We may have a big reveal later in the week, or next week.

The area with the CiTV logos through those little windows did look like the old tots area where all the cushions were on the right of the studio, so it is possible that they have just blocked off part of the studio. I hope so. Though even by the bit of proper set that is there, it looks like its going to be white! Though if its going to be white but different shades and white backgrounds with bits of colour wouldnt be so bad!

Yes today's appearance of a presenter did seem very half hearted, with all Michael's links seeming scripted. He didn't even say goodbye at the end!

The stings are good, not sure about the lack of a proper ident, I wonder what we'll see at the start of SM:TV Live on Saturday?

Michael's links did seem very scripted where its usually tell them what's on next and read some messages. I hope this was only because he was on his own, had a small space to work in and had to really push the new shows.

I hope that the studio has been cut off, it seemed as they had only shoved Michael on there with a script because people were questioning where the presenters are.

As for what they will put at the start of sm:tv they will most probably use the main start up ident where all of the CiTV faces stand in front of the CiTV logo. Shown at the start and begins with the itv1 image rolling up the screen like a roller blind.

For those of you that havent seen the new look to CiTV yet. I have taken some pics. As I haven't got my capture card yet, I have resorted to the old digital camera. Sorry about the bad quality.

To refer to the photos use that i am commenting on, use the grid:

So no. 1 is the main ident in which CiTV characters and faces appear and move infront of the CiTV logo.

no. 2 is the best animation within the new look and consists of images and toys flying out of the toybox seen here.

no. 3 is ident/animation puzzle.

no. 4 is an example of the information strap that reveals programme information at the end of trails. It rips if like ripping paper.

no.'s 5 & 6 are the jungle mud ident, a drum plays the new four note tune whilst the show (5) treads in the mud, when lifted it reveals the CiTV logo embedded in mud(6).

7-12 and 14 are studio stuff with micheal. Notice at the top of 10 an logo higher towards the ceiling (the one with the golden monkey!)

13 is the animation swirl also seen in 14 on the monitor.

And 15 & 16 are the end animation, straight after a promo for art attack using fred flinstone today saying goodbye, then cuts straight to the itv1 breakbumper, ads, itv 1 ident, you've been framed.

Interesting looking at www.smtvlive.co.uk that Tess has been removed from the presenters page, yet Shavaughan still remains!

Also looking at this weeks show, Michelle from Liberty X is guest presenting, and also in Garbage Hunt. Backside (still!) are doing their world performance of their brand new single!

And this is interesting two people are going to be playing eat my goal for the first time, BY THE INTERNET!? I dont know how this is going to work. As all the callers do is pick the players, and then answer a question in a tie break situation! Could be interesting!

Looks a bit basic really, the studio in the grabs there, I have to say. Apart from on the logo, do they have any other colours anywhere at all?

See Michael's taking over all the programmes now like Steven did before him. Is this in their contract, hijack all the shows? Mind you Chris Jarvis was the wrong guy for last year's Jungle Run, I've never forgiven them for dumping the funky theme tune from series 1 of that show in favour of bongo beats.

I still think the on-screen DOG is too big. I don't know why they don't make more use of it as opposed to just having it sit there. Even if it's just having "Subtitles" slide out of or under it or something. Maybe they could "turn it over" towards the end of a proggie to say what's on next like Challenge do.

Studio is very basic. Hopefully we will see more or it, a wide shot would be great, even an extension. There must be more, thats far too small at the moment. The only other colour (bar the logos in the windows) is the red block stool (from 1999) that has been bought out again.

He is taking over the shows, though Stephen's still got many also! Its because they are good presenters that work so well.

It would be nice if they could do something with the dog, as it is a bit dull how it doesnt animate or has no purpose (bar to brand it). It could flip over to show a character of the next programme on the other side.
