Is it jsut be, Or has Buthaven gotten stale already? Today's episode was terrible- it looks like it was knocked up in 5 minutes! I think that sketch needs resting already.

And again- PLEASE get rid of the dance at each end of the show! That got boring and silly very quickly.

I actually quite like the song at the end, i think it rounds of the show but they cut it today, there was no qunge tank and it just went to "Its the Ministry...". I think this is because they were running behing time because of that stupid bit where Stephen sat at the desk and got soaked, please get rid of that MOM.

All in all, there was much more mayhem in today's show but Cakey Sk8 is getting very boring, they don't even cake the 'Celebs' now which is a shame as they have loads of cakes left (I wonder what they do with them?).

I agree with James about Buthaven, its had the same ending about 3 weeks now and its getting really boring a bit, also it should be done live again and have proper opening titles like it did 3 weeks ago.

Todays show was good, shame about the song being cut down at the end but at least they sang this time when they went over time unlike last time. I hope the "Thank-you desk" isnt staying at the end for good, i liked the gunge tank ending to the ending to the show.

I aggree. At least with SM:TV when a sketch got old, they dropped it and repalced it. However, I can see Buthaven going on for ages. And yes, the dacne is incredibly silly, there's no need for it. SM:TV did do silly song & dance sequences, but they were always different. The MoM one hasn't changed in 9 months and is just tedious. They should NEVER have axed SM:TV, it was much better than this.

I agree with Buthaven becoming very stale. It's the sort of sketch that should go away after a while. But essentially it's MoM's version of Chums, the difference is that Chums was almost completely different everyweek and Buthaven is not, there is only so much you can do in a holiday camp situation.

I like the dance at the end myself. I think they should drop it from the beginning and just have it at the end, it's actually a great way to close a show.

Buthaven has had a fight at the end for 3 weeks now and it is pre-recorded, i prefered it live when they could mess up their lines and have a laugh at it.

They should bring back the opening old titles and update them with the new updated logo that was introduced on the re-launch. I like the end song too, it reminds me of the big breakfast's friday song minus the gunge tank at the end!.

They are definatly trying to make Buthaven thier version of Chums but are failing miserably. Each episode is far too alike, the writing is far inferior, and they want to hide any cockups as much as possible. It's a sorry state to what Saturdays were just 18 months ago. Even SM:TVs poorer sketches are better than what ButHaven's become- after just over 2 months!

I also like the song and dance! Adding the full titles back to start would just bring the dance to the 'na, na, na...' stage, where the dance actually works, rather than watching them mime and doing a funny thing.
Though remember SM:tv had the same song and dance in the form of the SM:tv postbag dance which came around FULLY in 1999, before that it was the hands and then ant dancing towards the camera!

Why is it the show as a whole seems better without Holly? No offence to her, but very strange.

I liked the fact that they had a phone in game. They could have added characters to it (in a splatoon way), and made it better, not a great game to start with, but it could be.

How about adding an element to Cakey Sk8, where by they have a number of callers that select which level the highest cake will get to, if they don't have 6 callers, if it lands on a level not selected the prize could roll over.

The thing about the ministry is that because they started in January, timescale of things aren't right.
With SM:tv summer meant fill in competitions and sketches, guest presenters and different programmes, before they bought everything back in September.
I suppose it's in the same way that Dick & Dom have a break through the summer and return in September with new ideas.
Yet MoM didn't change anything and didn't have a break, and haven't come up with anything really new.

Perhaps Butthaven is a thing that should close for the winter, they surely can't have the sketch running through the winter when it's a bout a Summer Holiday Camp.

Though I look at it as I'd prefer any sketch to non at all.

On other points, the doctor was good. James & Oliver weren't given much time today and much exposure on the show.
The cheeky girls things with the bins was good, and even they were good in cakey sk8, which begs the question, why didn't they use the twins for cakey sk8?

It was also great to see NEW MPAA, and a very good episode too!

The end of MoM was interesting. perhaps they didn't have any guests that would be gunged, so they went for this. It was very 'Lenny Henry reads the news on Tizwas'!

The thing that gets me is that the show could be filled with so much more, they shouldn't really have time to sit down unless they're talking to guests.

I suppose the show can only become what the producers want. If they want a great show that will draw in the viewers and people will love, then they have to put a lot of effort in, and be creative.
Or they could just plod on!

Even in the early days SM:tv put in the effort.
They just did what they wanted to do, as they knew not many people watched, and so they did what they wanted to, and viewers liked it, and so more people watched, and it created a great show.

Also, isn't this the 3rd time that The Cheeky Girls have been on the show? They seem to be running out of guests who want to appear already.

Not sure that was QUITE the same as dancing (horribly IMO) to the theme tune at either end of the show . Teh Postbag dance was part of a feature on the show, the MoM song & dance just seems more cringeworthy every time I see it.

Like you said, it seems like no-one at all seems to be puttign anyreal effort intothe show at all, they're just plodding on. Even in SM:TVs darkest days they were putting effort into it (they only really stopped once the show's fate was sealed around July last year), MoM just seem to not be bothering at all. SM:TV didn't care about Zoe & Jamie on the other side, but it seems MoM are very bothered about Dick & Dom. I do wonder if MoM will get comissioned into 2006. If it stays like this, it's unlikely. If it stays like this, it really shouldn't continue into 2005. They could do much better.

The Noise Next door is performing their new single and the MoM theme next week. It'll be interesting to see how the noise next door perform the MoM single, at the end perhaps?.

The idea is not to watch, but dance yourself, it's much more enjoyable!

I son't really understand how it's like this. If you watch Basil Brush, Globoloco, even Finger Tips the ideas are always new and the shows are very creative and innovative, yet MoM is acting as though they have the best ideas and formates already and don't need to change a thing, where as really it was better when they started as the show was full of new content.
