CiTV & Ministry of Mayhem thread

Well I liked the new stings, with the CITV logo forming up in relation to the following programme. Not sure about the main CITV ident, and I'm definally not sure about the lack of presenters, I'm not sure what happened there, it seems they've been phasing them out gradually as the last few week's have had less and less links.

And the comment about full credits, not quite as they still cut them off before the end

Some of those shown today got cut off completely, I noticed only Hilltop Hospital and The Flintstones lost their credits altogether, Tiny Planets has always been shown with its credits in full.

I wonder if this is why they changed the credit rules for CITV programmes to be in the main ITV style so they can do their own version of chopping either side off the picture and moving it to one side to run a promo? Although when they did that today both the promo and the credits for Globo Loco looked squashed. And when they did the same for My Parents Are Aliens (which is still with its credits on a roller and in their own font as it was made before October last year) MPAA looked even more squashed than it did with Globo Loco.

The new DOG is far too big IMO, the previous one was just the right size. In its favour though, its transparent and all the endboards and ident set are white so the DOG appears to disappear during those. That sting though with the kind of like spiral effect looks like something off Five's Brainteaser stings.

Overall not too bad, just hope the lack of live presenters is temporary. Like the new font and the fact that the Subtitles caption is now closer to the main ITV style, if not in the same place. Endboards not too bad either although I notice the logo now sticking out bottom left ala Central News captions...

Maybe you could tell us why you think they are needed. Practically every reason I can think of as to why they might to is overuled by fact of the EPG.

Hopefully they will see problems and try and fix them. Though they wont if people dont contact them. I hope the studio is a lot better if we've had to wait longer to see it! Hopefully we will see it tomorrow. Though who knows! I didnt notice the way they use the stings to trail the next programme. Have now though, nice idea.

Wasnt too keen on how it quickly disapeared using a goobye earthlings slide instead of a full end ident. We shall just have to wait to see how it unfolds through the week!

damm recording it, cant watch until ive finsihed recording! damm! Been working hard chizling/trying to chizle cement away (not so well!).

Im liking this new series of jungle run. Though I dont like how the shows arent shown in the same places anymore.

It used to be MONDAY: sooty, art attack and my parents are aliens.

With Jungle Run on wednesdays. Its all mixed up and there are too many adverts now a days. Cant they just have more phone in competitions, or charge more money. I know they have to make there money somehow. Perhaps they should sell CiTV merchandise via the website and in certain shops instead of just giving it away.

Or how about having a sponser for the whole of CiTV like milkibar sponsers the little CiTV section.

Ive now seen the set. Doesnt look as big as the old one, even though it's most probably in the same place as its taller than the old small studio. Its too plain, there's nothing in the studio bar that bubble bit with the logos it the sections. I dont like the plain white background. Hate the paint ident thing. Im not impressed at all by this relaunch yet. Hopefully if we ever get a long shot of the studio we will be able to see what it really looks like. My betting is that they havent put up the rest of the studio yet, thus why its only michael in that little section of the studio.

And could it be, no big screen? They shouldnt have gone for plain white. I like how some of the idents just use the shape of the letters like the mpaa's space one, and the jungle mud one. They should have had the main logo as white like on the start ident, but been able to do whatever to it so that the studio could have had a bit of colour at least!

If you recorded today's CITV, is there any chance you could capture the toybox ident, which featured the letters C I T V being sung to the tune?
