I think they should have done what "Ellen" did on her first show on the first episode of the MoM relaunch, on the first episode on ABC1 yesterday, the title sequence had ellen saying something like "Hiya, This is Ellen here this is where you would normally see the title sequence you know where bob finds the oil and they all dance happily, but there isnt any titles for now there will be next week, Honestly...Great tune eh?" and have Stephen, Michael or Holly saying something similiar with a snippet of the MoM theme in the background.

Lol.
Great series, and then Ellen never gets any titles, it's just her every show saying that they will appear.
Towards the end she does get pretty irrate about them.
I tell a lie, they do create a set for the last episode of the series with a chessy tune too, and it's great, "Who always hang's out with her friends... Who, who, who... Ellen, the crazy gal!", or something as I haven't seen it for years!

I thought that the no titles thing would have been for the summer whilst they worked on new ones, though I still don't see what was wrong with the original ones.
What would be good is if they adapted them a bit.

They could CSO a load of kids (if you listen to the single teaser, after the guitar start screech, have a load of kids running around the street) then super impose them all walking along singing a different line and then having different shots of the original titles pop up.

Or they could have the titles with the new theme added on, and get the company that made the original titles to change the start so that it has them going into the bedrooms of Michael, Stephen & Holly in their cartoon forms, and doing what the line says. Having one get out of bed, and then having his last night and the night before images added either side, having another smashing up the alarm clock, and then another being talked to by their brain, like a pet brain in a tank (thining futurama here), and then have the cartoon characters fly out of the window on hover board things along with Ray, the doctor and other people on them, with them all flying into the mouth of the ministry, the ministry then causes chaos, flys into the air and shows that they're all there, then falls down with the current short titles of the 'o' spinning, and the m's and 'Ministry of Mayhem' joining it with the ministry then flying off and into the studio.

Or they could change them totally by recreating them by filming a city and adding the ministry into it to make it look as though it's really there, and have it causing chaos around the world, or around the UK. Obviously this my need Hollywood computers to do this, and a bigger budget!

Well,i think they should replace Stephen&Holly [or just stephen who's on loads of citv stuff!] with Des Leary and Leah Charles so that Micheal's with leah and then they could make new titles, and they could have the new 3D ministry and the window things could be replaced by a split-screen for all the presenters with the new ending obviously!
The new theme tune could go like this:
Woke up,same clothes as last night or the night before
Smashed up,my alarm clock and it's still ringing on the bedroom floor
The planet Ministry is growing!
[Here comes the Ministry of Mayhem]
It's time to pump up the volume!
Wake up it's the ministry of mayhem[Ministry of mayhem]
Set your alarm clock so it says AM[Ministry of Mayhem]
Dogs are barking,neighbours howling
We can't hear a thing
SO....
Wake up it's the ministry of mayhem

I think Des from SM:TV should be on MoM. I don't know why he wasn't offered the gig in the first place. Him & Stephen gelled well on SM:TV

Anyway i was just looking at a couple of websites and one's good and one isn't.
The bad one:The nickelodeon website.Has anyone been on it because it's absolute rubbish.
The good one:The studio disney website because it's even got a picture of leah on an old citv set and here's a link:

First of all Leah Charles now presents Studio Disney on the Disney Channel (and she's even better than on CiTV) and will have a contract with them, so she couldn't do it, and who's Des Leary? I've never heard of him, sorry!

Stephen is great, and he is what makes the show along with Michael who have gelled well, but I agree James, him and Des Clarke did get on superbly well.
Perhaps they could bring him in, either as a character (as he was great at them on SM:tv), maybe something like Desmond Pleaser - the Diamond Geezer, the man who gives away all of the shows prizes perhaps from the back of a van (he'd be based on Dessy Boy Trotter from Only Fools & Hogwash - the SM:tv Harry Potter and Only Fools & Horses sketch) or how about they send him as an OB reporter for the show, though they wouldn't get as much use out of him).

He was superb at the sketches, voices and characters, so he could just be somebody general or have a couple of characters to do. It would add more characters to the show, which with just the Doctor and Ray is something which they could do with building on!

I really enjoyed the show with girls aloud the other week. Something was mentioned about Stephen and the worms on SM:tv and the croud cheer as soon as they cut to the titles on that show, so something must of happend with the worms or to stephen.

Something similiar happened on that week with girls aloud, after cakey sk8 we see stephen run towards a camera or someone with a cake, then they cut to James, Michael and Oliver on the couch and then the kids start to cheer in the backround while Michael was doing his link. Stephen said after that he fell over, it would of been great to see a shot of the crew helping him up after michael did his part and then cut to the break but we didnt..

Didn't hear the worms thing but saw the post Cakey Sk8 thing, I wonder why they didn't cut to a camera, they had camera's following them, how non saturday morning. That's the whole point of the Ministry of Mayhem, the MAYHEM!!! Though they are restricted now that the main part of the set is smaller!

And TV GUY, Nick's website isn't that bad! It does it's job and goes well with the on screen look of the channel/s, as does Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, Toonami, Boomerang, Fox Kids (soon to be Jetix), CBBC and even CiTV's site!

Was watching old CiTV from 1999, it was in this sept-dec period when the website was properly born, they had one before, but it wasn't anything special.
They even had an afternoon where Dannielle was in Birmingham and Stephen was in London with presenters of CiTV shows as they launched the website.
But from the look of it, every show had it's own CiTV produced page, and then a link to the official one, they had the studio email, downloads and games (much as the current one), pinboards (much as the old one used to have), and then when in the new larger studio they also introduced the webcams! And for such a short slot on ITV1, the website was amazing! It's not bad now, but the old one was just everything that was good about CiTV, it was bold, busy and totally interactive!

Where as now it's white, lifeless, has 5 second links from a voice (not even that sometimes), has no music (theme tune, dity thing), and doesn't include a menu for the day, even though they have plenty of time to use.

They could even have emails and texts going in for the voice to read over the end credits of a programme rather than no interactive content and too many trailers that are repeated too often!

I was thinking this afternoon, don't know why, but in 2002, CiTV changed it's graphics to co inside with the new look ITV1 in October, so maybe they are thinking about a similar thing for CiTV this year and maybe changing things on November 1st like everything else.

It would be a lovely surprise, and would make sense that this period is a brief fill in, as the 2002 graphics were (as CBBC relaunched, and launched the channel, and the then main titles had been in use since Sept 1999).

Plus many of the new programmes that they trailed like the new worst witch, the new My Parents Are Aliens, and that show on the Autumn trailer with the musketeer like people (haven't a clue what that is).

I'm not thinking of a major relaunch, just something to freshen up the current...
Arrow Use the logo on white, or on other colours and use them along with characters and pieces from the show
Arrow Add music to the idents, even in the form of the simple tune
Arrow Create start ups and ends to make it seem like a proper show
Arrow Or maybe use the letters as new bouncing letters in their modified state and more 4 sided than rounded.
Arrow Create a simple studio (though not totally white, perhaps using the CiTV colours of yellow, red & blue),
Arrow Get a couple of presenters, even if it's Andy & Laura again
Arrow Build up on the interactivity through new ways
Arrow Return of competitions, including big and quick ones
Arrow Bring back text and email for instant communication to CiTV
Arrow Perhaps set up an active service where viewers can send instant messages, find out information about the shows & presenters and play games (which could bring in revenue for CiTV/itv), and would also give itvi something to do!
Arrow Try the Nickelodeion idea and screen instant messages on a bar over the adverts, this would keep viewers watching through the adverts instead of flicking, and may create more revenue as they can sell the adverts for more as more viewers will be watching.

Just a few ideas that may boost the audience, along with taking away little programmes to give more on air time for competitions, maybe games.

As Steve Ryde said a few years ago when Central News looked behind the scenes of CiTV in 2000, the key to success is to be different and that's what they try and provide on CiTV, well did!
Thus the reason for the success of da bungalow in a way as it is a totally different Saturday Morning show.

Kids can get TV anywhere, so the idea is to make it different, distinctive and provide something that they won't get on any other channel, not only with programmes (with the live programme format being a great idea in the late 90's), but also with in vision continuity!

Charles Allen may want rid of it, but if they put in the effort it could reap rewards for CiTv and the itv network. Of course it's going to get rubbish ratings if nobody likes the way it's presented, thus why that's the key rule at school for essays, projects, coursework, etc; Presentation is the Key!

It could be true as they may have been looking for a new studio, or sorting out arrangements and may do it to coincide, then again maybe they won't do anything and just let CiTV lose many more viewers until Ofcom give them the power to get rid of it!

Where as whilst its compulsary they may as well use it as much as they can to get great audiences, and to get children liking the ITV brand as young children that will grow up to become the ITV audience in future years.

It may be true, then again, I do think about things too much!
