Here's my idea for christmas and new year:
27-31 Dec 2004:Classics Week 11.00-1.00 each day in computer generated studio
Then 3 January with a brand new set wherever they've moved to with the voiceover bloke joining Andy&Laura and Swag as a proper presenter instead of bag the swag.
And 2nd January they could have Dave&Laura in the computer generated studio.
It should be at least a year but you never know!

OK. Right. I quite like the idea of a CiTV Gold week, perhaps one where viewers could pick which classic programmes they want to see, and if this proves popular they may introduce some into the CiTV schedule, or maybe in a CiTV2 (which could - with advertising - boost it's current audience levels for that slot).

As for the rest of your post, which I'm sure I've seen before!
They could use a studio now if they wanted to, they've got a spare one until Central News East move to Birmingham, well half a one.

Andy and Laura are most probably gone now, and they may have thrown Swag away, all because of Charles Allen. Though it has been a year of bad decisions, a bad set when they had a great shell of a set, a bad choice of line for presentation when they had a strong set with the bouncing letters, and a bad choice of getting two new/newish presenters in with no experienced ones to guide them.

Plus who is Dave to present with Laura?

Going back to my idea, I grabbed this image and tried to do something paint, hopefully you can get the idea of adding a CiTV desk and the old inflatibles into the studio.

That would'nt fit in with the current look though.I'll see what i can do with it.Anyway, they could make a new swag!

Oh I see, if you don't know their name, guess at Dave, lol!
I wasn't trying to go with the current look. They could easily bring the creatures back in current idents and it would be a reall cheap thing to do, infact if they've still got those plastic creatures, all they'd need was a news desk or sofa!

How about this one, basing the set on an idea for a package (see example of credits here), it would be based in the old 1998-99 studio if they could get that back.
It's a very simple layout, and the CiTV logo would go on that back wall.

Maybe even a desk up the other end, if there's room! It may have to be up the corner! Or have the Vault in there for Swag!

Ironic. They have now bagged the swag, literally.

Is that Lewella Bailey in the yellow top? Looks like a giant spider's coming to eat her. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be the spaceship but still...

Argh, too bright, far too bright. Looks like an adaption of the opening sequence to a Looney Tunes cartoon. Just scribble in "That's All Folks!" across the middle. Wink

OK, perhaps it is a bit bright, but that's the great thing about kid's tv, i suppose the background could have been a red, or blue.

But then I look at it and added it to a logo that i did ages ago, and it works quite well, in my opinion!

Sorry, "yuck" is all I can say. I don't like any of it, and it still looks too much like a Looney Tunes cartoon.

What's that big green thing supposed to be?

A slide to cover up the central news words and so's the black bit at the end.
