If CITV is now coming from leeds, can't they put together a studio there?

I doubt CiTV is coming from Leeds, but playout of Birmingham is supposed to have been transfered to Leeds.
Perhaps it's different for CiTV as that's always gone out across the network.

By the looks of CiTV nowadays it's most probably all pre recorded into a package and then sent to somebody to transmit, whether it be London, Leeds or Birmingham.

Or perhaps it's just a case of them not wanting to have a studio, though I can see the advantages, maybe they can't. And now that the CiTV pinboards have closed down there's no CiTV interactiveness left. It's a shame the Steve Ryde left!

I noticed this one in use from Monday. It would fit quite well if they re mixed the music from last September with it.

But then it's used for the Voice Over bloke to well, Voice Over!
It's a shame that they can't put more effort in, even if they just use the continuity booth (now only used by the CiTV voiceover anyway).
Either use the current Voice Over bloke, or hire Kevin Pamplin from Puffin's Pla(i)ce.
Then they could get rid of either Mr Bean, or Mucha Lucha, infact have one on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the other on Tuesday & Thursday then 10-15 minutes could be spread out through the afternoon along with the little time that they already have. Get rid of a few trailers, and then you've got the perfect length of time to talk generally, perhaps bring in any crew that may be behind the camera (though there wouldn't be any in a continuity booth). Add a plasma and decorate it and perhaps have a puppet or two.

Infact just network Puffin's Pla(i)ce!

I tried to upload the ending from yesterday but it did'nt work.Anyway i think it goes too quickly. Maybe they could just have 2 seconds each and maybe they could speed up the september 2003 music to make it madder and have 2 seconds for each ident and just have 5 idents[Paint Swirl,Merry-go-round which i love,Lines which has sort of been on the website for ages,Red Burn & Zappy ident].Talking abou CiTV idents, what are your favourites Sep 03-now?Mine are the merry-go-round[which is in the other brackets!] & that magic friday one.

There's no point getting presenters if you're have that schedule, I don't even think that there's any time for adverts.

They could do with a studio of some sort even if it is a continuity booth, though I still think that they should be allowed to add a desk and mad set pieces to the Central News set and present from there.

It would be easily feasible, as long as there's a storage room to put everything, and it would save on having to move CiTV out of Birmingham, and/or converting part of building into another studio.

Well Charles Allen's ideal vision is to scrap the CiTV service for reasons I discussed a couple of pages or so back, a vision that's pretty much coming to be coming true if this current situation continues (ie making it all so laughably bad that the only good thing about it is when it finishes). Then they won't need to faff about with getting Bob, Scoop, Muck and Dizzy in to start fannying about in Gas Street.

I wouldn't mind seeing a day of classic CiTV programmes

eg.
3:15 - 3:40pm: (Little kids programmes eg. Thomas the Tank Engine etc.)
3:40 - 4:00pm Zzzap!
4:00 - 4:30pm Mike & Angelo (or similar type of programme - I couldn't think of other programmes)
4:30 - 5:00pm Knightmare (probably best to use series Cool

lol.
It is laughable, especially when a region like Channel TV can do a damm site better job and entertain more people with a local service that soon going to get bigger!

I don't believe that getting rid of CiTV would be great (at this moment in time, getting rid of the current service, yes!), the way I see it, and it's certainly worked this way for a lot of people that I've spoken to whatever you watched as a child is what you tend to choose subconciously as an adult, (obviously it can only work for the main 5 channels, well Sky one perhaps too). I mostly watched CiTV as a child, even though loads of it was with Steve Ryde and CiTV town.

As I've said before a service could easily be set up using the Central News studio and either adding a desk or a sofa.
As seen with Central Soccer Specials the background is lit and so could be any colour. They have the plasmas and the big rear projection screen that could be used to display anything, the only thing that would have to change would be the sofa as the Central News sofa is grey. But that wouldn't be a problem.
A simple modular sofa or a desk could be moved in and out easily.

The best option of course would be to move the whole of CiTV to somewhere else. Perhaps nicking the BBC's idea and moving their children's department to Manchester where room would be available, or they could always build extra space at Granada Studios, or why not build new studios, they're gaining £500 million this year, and what's a little investment for future prime time viewers?

You never get anywhere without putting in any effort, so without effort hey will end up losing even more viewers. Especially if they have to rely on My Parents Are Aliens 4 times a week!

Here's my idea for christmas and new year:
27-31 Dec 2004:Classics Week 11.00-1.00 each day in computer generated studio
Then 3 January with a brand new set wherever they've moved to with the voiceover bloke joining Andy&Laura and Swag as a proper presenter instead of bag the swag.
And 2nd January they could have Dave&Laura in the computer generated studio.
It should be at least a year but you never know!
