The only reason I was thinking is that the new set is not ready as planned. The presenters have not been dropped. There is however an increase in advertisements. Each programme is at least 20 minutes long this afternoon, and now all programmes have a break before in between two parts and at the end.

The new look. Nice change with the jingle, but they should've kept the old one, its been round since sept 1998. Though the May 1998 relaunch music was better!

Im not too sure on the re introduction of the dog. It was nice to not have it, It is as big as it was back in may 1998, I like the fact that its semi transparent, but I feel that it should be smaller and in a bottom corner.

If you think CiTV's new dog is big, you should see discovery kid's new dog.

Not sure I like the new animations, too basic for me; prefered the old bouncing letters with a bit of colour.

Well couldn't they present from the Garden then ? I'm not so sure myself.

Due to the vast amount of advertisments and the length of programmes there isnt sufficient air time for links as well. This is mainly due to itv scheduling programmes at 5 instead of 5:05 like before. And a fault of CiTV's for scheduling all long shows. They need a small show 10-15 mins at 3:30 to give them space through the afternoon!

I expect that they are just creating more time for themselves because of the set not being ready and making money out of it through extra advertising!

The way they made a fuss of their 20th birthday, it's unlikely that they would let the presenters go without mentioning it.

The webmaster of the CITV website is a member here. Perhaps he could help. Greg? Oh Greg? Come out come out wherever you are!

The set is not ready, the presenters are still there, they have not been dropped, the air time (non adverts and programmes) that is left is too short for any links from the presenters, thus why we have animation straight to the programme!

Well yes that is the exact reason why there are no presenters !!!! And points to the fact they've been done away with. But we'll have to see.

Well done away with for the day, not totally. They haven't been axed. They may be one day, but they havent yet. They wouldnt be building a new set if they had axed the presenters! It would be stupid if they did!

And also bare in mind that they may have just given Michael and Leah the day off due to problems. There are only the two of them (even though Anna has been around for a while now!) and when michael's been away for an afternoon, he's been working on his many other shows for CiTV. I dont even think he's had an actual holiday yet this year!

I don't think they have gone as they are still all over the CiTV website, So if it is not ready will they come back towards the end of the week if it is ready? Or will they leave it untill Monday now? Confused

or indeed the central virtual set, i cant help thinking theres something fishy going on.

mind you if the plan was to have everything out of vision i'd have imagined they'd do it all from LWT in widescreen

They cant do it from LWT can they if Central hold the contract to produce it! And if everything was going back out of vision, Im sure there would have used an announcer like the old days like they did when now mr bungalow steve ryde did links.

I presume they will return when everything is ready for them to return.

Well, that was, er, different.

No presenters, a simple animation to end with, straight into the ads.

Anything else?
