If I remember correctly Fearne started off presenting Diggit for GMTV, then she did some programme(s) on CiTV, before switching to presenting various programmes on BBC

This has come up before, the fact that Fearne appears on both sides at the drop of a hat (and at the same time as well on occasion) is because she's not actually contracted with either CBBC or CiTV but with the production company in question. I forget who it is but I think its the same company who makes Finger Tips for CiTV and the same alternate programme, the name of which I've forgotten, for CBBC.

Yup your right Neil....they're called The Foundation and make MOM too!

Not 100% accurate. There was a point when Fearne was presenting (among others) Finger Tips (CiTV) and Eureka TV (CBBC) but she she signed a contract with CBBC back when it all relaunched in 2002. She continued to present Eureka TV for a while too. When she first started working for CBBC she presented the links in the afternoon before going to the Saturday Show IIRC.

Got to agree this weeks show had a good guest list and certainly made up for the lack of the Doctor. As for MOM being axed, I don't think that's been officially confirmed/denied yet. I've heard rumours it is going to be, but they've been going round since it began.

Shame ITV are axing it...

Welcome to TV Forum - the place where random speculation & rumours appear from nowhere and take over the place.

Seriously if you are saying something like that it would be useful to show some solid evidence of it.

Okay but what I said was to explain why Fearne still continues to turn up on CiTV in spite of joining CBBC. At that time she was signed to Foundation TV and able to show up on both sides.

According to various posts above:

ITV are allegedly axing MOM
Nickelodeon are launching a version of SMTV
ITV are teaming up with another broadcaster (possibly Nick) for kids shows

Could any of the above be linked?

All of the above rumours have come from CDUK Junkie. Having seen some of the SM:tv rumours he has made before on other sites (most of which were porkies) I would question his sources.

Wasn't there also a post saying "A press release will be made about MOM later this week" 3 weeks ago. As far as I'm aware we are still waiting.

Of course If I have missed it then I apologise

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this week's MoM. Anyway I thought this week's show was really good. One of the keys to a good show is good guests that are up for it. Sometimes American movie stars and female singers etc don't get what the show is about and don't take part in anything bar the performance/advertising their new single/movie etc. Yesterday's guests, Phil Tuffnell, Kirsty Gallagher and McFly got enthusiastically into all the silly games, sketches and even did the dance at the start and end and didn't just stand there like they were waiting for a bus so well done to them. You can tell a funny show by how many times Mulhern does that sideways glance!

I didn't even notice there was no Doctor until about an hour in, presumably he couldn't make whatever day the pre-record was done on, lets hope he's not away filming a new series of Roland Butter!!. The little kid continues to be a funny inclusion and he got gunged again!

I mentioned this weeks show a few pages back! lol

This weeks show was pre-recorded according to a friend, she tried to get down there to see mcfly but they was supposed to in bristol on saturday so this weeks show was pre-recorded 2 days before and it was badly edited! also which would explain why McFly were on Both Shows, MoM and Mysti.

Mysti is pre-recorded, it always has been. It's just they appeared to have stopped filmising the whole show (it seems only the segments are now) a few weeks back.

It was pre-recorded on Thursday, more because Stephen and Holly were presenting the eurovision selection show on ITV 2 on Saturday Night.

Personally, i'd like to see a complete re-fresh of CiTV's lineup.
MONDAY:
3:15: Dora, the Explorer (get rid of the other shows for now as this programme is too long to be put at 3:30)
3:45: Chums (this is when the teenager section starts, to rival CBBC)
3:55: 24Severn (this is what CiTV needs now, a good teen drama like Biker Grove)
4:20: Zzzap (repeat of series 3)
4:35: Sabrina, the teenage Witch (showing series 4 which they hardly ever show)
TUESDAY:
3:15: Dora, the explorer
3:45: Grizzly Tales (1st ever Series)
4:05: Jungle Run (the brand new series)
4:30: Eliminator (repeat of series 1)
WEDNESDAYS:
3:15:Boobah
3:30:Enjy Benjy
3:45:The Baskerville Family
4:05:The Worst Witch (the brand new seies)
4:35: Jungle Run (the original series, who presented that?)
THURSDAYS:
3:15:Thomas and friends
3:25: Meg and Mog:Double Bill
3:35:Engy Benjy
3:45: How 2 (the first ep with gail)
4:00: Scary Sleepover(i had to slip in this crap show seeing as they've been made)
4:30: My life as a Poppat (brand new)
FRIDAYS:
3:15: Dora, the Explorer
3:45: Fun House (this is what CiTV needs!)
4:00: Top Ten of Everything (repeat)
4:20: Mad for it!!! (this was an ace show and deserves a second showing!)
4:45: Chums
4:55: MOM Preview (whats to come on this saturdays MOM)

I think that is JUST what CiTV needs and to win back those precious ratings!

Does anyone think MoM should do a short VT before the end song with the stuff the viewers may of missed if they tuned in half-way through the show? or at least an advert like The Big Breakfast did.

Just to clear up some stuff about Fearne Cotton...

Fearne found fame on Diggit and also presented various instances of Mouse (Darrall MacQueen for ITV) and Finger Tips series 1-3 (and various specials/re-edits) for CiTV. She also did at least one guest stint on CiTV Presentation.

She also fronted Eureka TV series 1 and 2 (which like Finger Tips is a production from The Foundation in Maidstone) and was exclusively signed to CBBC in 2002 - this culminated in her appearance on Fame Academy, etc.

Fearne was replaced on Eureka TV for series 3 by Mohini Sule.

The new female presenter of Finger Tips for series 4, now airing on Fridays, is Naomi Wilkinson who also hosted CiTV's The Yuk Show and is now on Milkshake, on five.
