Well today's CITV was even less substantial than we come to expect, all we got was a bit of Andy and Laura in a classroom and then a bit later in a school corridor. This whole MPAA week has been a complete disappointment, I was hoping for some of the cast to appear but it looks like they filmed the links on a day when there was no filming.

We got some live Bag the Swag again from the CITV Post Room around Fingertips.

There was a return for the 'what you doing in there?' sting today and at the end they ended with the sting where Swag says 'More high quality entertainment tommorow bye!', to which Kevin Pamplin replied 'I very much doubt it Swag though CITV will be back tommorow!'

On all of the others they've met at least one cast member has appeared during the week. Who knows, we may see someone tomorrow, doubt it though!

I do like Swags little Sarcastic like comments, but Kevin's quick reaction are class. I wonder what he's got against CiTV.

It didn't look like it was the same postroom as they had used for the first few weeks they were studioless either. Maybe they've moved home or maybe it's just me.

It was wierd. Before it looked like a quick post room that they'd tried to knock together.
Now it's like the sacks, swag and laura in a room somewhere.
Someone even walked through the doors behind them at one point.
Though if it is a studio, it's their colour, white with added bland!

To me it looked like an office or a canteen or something where people will be walking in and out.
Perhaps that's what we can expect, like Jeanne & Scally had to do in the 90's and just go around the building, gallery, props room, toilets, it'd be like months of behind the scenes, please i hope not!

Yeah I noticed that, the room a few weeks ago looked like a postroom they'd knocked up, this one looked like just a random room. I'm sure when they moved to the side camera to show the prize off there were some ink cartridges on the shelves at the side, so maybe it was the Central stationary cupboard!

I'm sure they must have some sort of studio on Monday, they can't really do 2 hours with just out of vision links, can they?....

Oh and according to the MPAA forums, the cast are just finishing a two week holiday off filming, after doing about 7 episodes, so they picked a bad week (or morning considering there's about 10 minutes of material in total) for CITV to visit!

They managed from jan 93 - may 98 on out of vision links.
As long as we get some sort of person, rather than last Sept when if they were short for time, they just had animations, and a little bit of a programme on next.

They may have somewhere, and I suppose that they could easily do it from a CSO, it was a basic set, and would be easy to stand infront of and make it look real.

Alternatively they could just find old links into those programmes that didn't have any other information on them, if they wanted to do it cheaply.

Though I doubt they'd go that far.
I did like what they did last year where they had a full show about the new season of programmes, and news and just general chit chat.
Though after 5 weeks of going around sets, perhaps that's why we don't have that sort of show this year. And the fact that Andy & Laura are no where near Michael and Leah standard, maybe one day!

I think the reason why Michael was good on CITV, was he had some experience presenting, when he was doing CBBC.

Oh yeah I agree it was obviously some random room they were using but I was thinking that maybe the room they have been using this week, wasn't actually at Central but somewhere else?

The old Post Room they used had the old CiTV "Be Part Of It" logos in the background all switched on.

Indeed they did, though I much prefered the old plastic ones that were in there place before. Wasn't much for that metalised era, and the fact that they changed it to the bouncing letters, the animations changed, but everything else had to stay the same.

That's what CiTV needs, bright and bouncy, like all of the animations have been.
How about separating the sections with logos. So this style logo goes on air for the Little CiTV/ CiTV Tots, and then the main section uses the 98-99 weekend logo (that SM:tv kept as a dog for ages), the spikey logo. I liked that as an alternative, and I wish that they'd have kept it on more than the dog for longer.
Then maybe this could be intergrated with a spikey set, even if it's in a small room!

Hey Ben, what makes you think that it's somewhere other than Central in Birmingham? That's intreguing!

Wild speculation, that's all. But there have been lots of rumours that CiTV would move out of Birmingham and into somewhere else. The different 'postroom' just made me think that it might be in a different building. But only a theory, they are probably still in Brum.

It's would be a shame if they didn't have any in vision at all.
I would love back to the 2000 era of phone, email then text, big competition, phone competition even the 2/3/4 minute warning (now they were fun). It was a great period as things got changed every September, they had great programmes, many live, a big studio, and most of all that made it for me were mad presenters.

I think Laura could do mad, but I doubt that Andy could do mad if he tried! Maybe they need at least someone else to guide him to madness.

I just liked how on CBBC it was often that was that, email us, this is one next week, as opposed to on CiTV something with a CSO, dressing up, adlibbing madly, a bright set, bubbly presenters, and a lot of fun, as opposed to the endless day of boring School. It was nice for something light, if only for a couple of hours. And then u knew that it was time for tea, and then for homework.

I don't miss those days one bit! Surprise, surprise!
