Well they went to Yorkshire TV today or as they called it "ITV Yorkshire" and we got to see the outside and now they are taking a look around the set etc. They way they said this is are last week out it sounds like they have a studio to go back to so maybe there is going to be somewhere else or they could use the CiTV Garden if this rain turns around.

Personally I doubt that the CiTV studio will be based in Birmingham now. I just hope they've not just moved the old set to a new studio somewhere they should make the most of this opportunity and have a nice new set.

Well actually, they started the programme today right outside YTV studios, with the missing chevron signage but still retaining its 1968 writing. Andy said 'here we are at Yorkshire Television and then Laura said ' ITV Yorkshire make some of the best programmes on TV like Emmerdale and Heartbeat', so well done to Andy there.
These broadcasts really are slow and very long winded, the bit I've just talked about was all we got at 3.40pm, then half an hour later they popped up, did about 20 seconds round the back of one of the sets and said 'now let's watch this', about half an hour later they'd made it to the lounge, sat on the sofa and told us to 'enjoy this', then about 20 mins later they were in the Kitchen, chatted with Swag for about 10 seconds and then that was it again. They said they'll be going to 'the diner' later in the week, at this rate they'll make it there by Thursday!

That's what CiTV is nowadays. Short and not that sweet.
They could easily just show one Potatoes and Dragons, and spread the extra 10 minutes or so on links through the afternoon.
It is a bit strange how it's there last week behind the scenes, perhaps they've no where else to go!
Who knows where they'll be next week. Perhaps plonked in an office somewhere.
Though that's a thought. Gas Street will have at least one Continuity Booth that they no longer use as it's all from London now, so perhaps they could do an old CBBC, and a current Puffin's Pla(i)ce, and have someone new, or old in the booth with Swag, or other friends.
That's what Tommy Boyd was missing years ago, a furry puppeted friend!
I suppose we'll have to wait and see!

I think they should show some classic CiTV programmes again.
When they was at the ministry all week that week (apart from How & How II which i grew up with) Most of the stuff i saw that week was not to my taste (I know its kids TV, but not the stuff i grew up watching!) While waiting for the Ministry parts i mostly sat through CiTV all that week with the Mute button on!.
i did write to CiTV asking if they will show Spatz from the beginning again, but i got no reply!.

This isn't exactly a case of that, with the links being recorded it looks like they've been told to do very short ones just in case, as there is more time as around these links were many trailers, 'life's rubbish without CITV' fillers and other stuff that could have been links, there must have been about 2 and a half minutes of Andrew and Laura in total
Oh and with it being MPAA, the old 'Goodbye Earthlings' end sting is back, haven't seen that for a while

Yeah I see. Though by the look of things they recorded them that long ago that they weren't sure what they would be showing, thus they hand over to programmes with 'and now this'. It's only been the ministry behind the scenes that they've introduced the shows, and i think that's only because they had to wait for the new set to go there, so that it didn't look outdated.
Though they have been making use of the extra time by advertising new trailers (well scary sleepover, life as a popat and the mixed promo), and an increase in normal ads for this time of year!

I'm not that fond of Potatoes and Dragons, I would have prefered one of Potatoes and Dragons and an ep of Spongebob or Angry Beavers.
It was nice to see the goodbye earthlings end again, especially as that's got music on it! What did happen to the 4 note tune on new graphics?

I saw someone somewhere suggest that the new, unbranded CiTV trailers might indicate that CiTV is going "generic" in the Autumn.
Example:
[ c | i t v ]
If they do, I'd like to see them make use of the cubes in their idents - maybe making them jelly-like and bouncy. That could make way for some quality 3D idents, the likes of which haven't been seen since the 2002-2003 "bouncing letters" era.
