I liked todays show. Noticed they have new on-screen graphics for the menu beds. Buthaven was ok this week but i think it needs some "hi-de-hi" style opening titles at the beginning. Also liked the orange gunge (my favourite colour) they used at the end of the show. Ray was good, though i dont get why they say he cant act, he was brillant in my opinion this week.
Ray did have the last line on Ministry of Mayhem today though. It was funny seeing his parts today trying to do many of Holly's parts. I've noticed that when they go into the audience the person who they speak to don't seem to talk that much - the girl this week couldn't stop playing with her hair.
Just a thought for Butthaven - noting that Ray doesn't have any lines... How about having Ray about to make an annoucement but as he is about to speak getting intrupted by the 'Camp announcer'.
I think most people must be one holiday as they only had one set of guests (The 411). Also with Holly doing CD:UK, the doctor being on holiday, and Tina & Gina being on an 'extended holiday' it seemed a bit empty.
Oh and 5 weeks until the MoM theme tune is released as a single by a band of triplets - The Noise Next Door (I think).
Back to CiTV (which hasn't been mentioned in a while), and they're continuing to go around the sets of the new shows, next week they are behind the scenes of My Parents Are Aliens which should be fun. But where's left for the last week of the Summer Holidays? Who Knows.
Well the Friday before last they said they still had 2 more weeks on location so I would imagine that this will be the final week they are going backstage. It would make sense for My Parents Are Aliens to be the last show they visit as it is probably the biggest show they have.
Interesting. I wonder what will be going on in that week.
Perhaps they'll have a preview on Bank Holiday Monday and start the new series from Aug 31st, though i doubt this, it may be true though.
I'd take a guess at either no behind the scenes and no presenters, or a fill in week like lasts years Alien Week.
It'll be interesting to see when series begin as there are 15 weeks (from Sept 6th) until the kids finish school for christmas (presumebly CiTV will go to mornings from the 20th, though they may be on in the afternoon as Christmas Day isn't until the Saturday this year.
I'm still intrigued as to what they are going to do come September, whether they'll set up studio somewhere, or not bother at all.
I asked the CiTV mod and he said they have no studio up to now, and as far as he knows they won't be going in to the old studio they used back in 1998. Move to Granada is what i say, then again if Granada are planning on closing some of its studio space still they maybe better of in London.
Today's show was, well great, in my opinion.
The chemistry between Michael & Stephen was great even dropping in little jokes such as Stephen saying that Michael doesn't like being called Gary Wilmot. Ray had many big parts today mainly due to the absence of Holly & the Doctor.
Yes yesterday's show was really good considering Holly was off being cut price Cat Deeley again. It was much better than last week. Another good bit not mentioned was when they had Stephen's mother's best crockery and Michael almost smashed them by accident.

They had a great little kid performing as busted, who they gunged, I didn't think they would have done, but they did!
He seems to be a regular feature now as he was on a few weeks ago. Little cheeky kids seem popular just like that girl they used to have on SM:TV Live

It looks to be the last week of the 'change of scene' tour as the trailer they ran only had the places they've already been plus MPAA on it

Judging by the trailers every new show is very adventurous, you've got My Life as a Popat (not that adventurous, but from some of the shots!), Scary Sleepover, The Worst Witch, My Parents Are Aliens (which includes a Pirate Episode by the looks of it, and some kid!),
It would be nice if they were to screen a preview like they did on the Bank Holiday Monday last year, but with Andy & Laura and no Studio to use I don't know what they will be doing.
It looks like they will have to have a studio of some sort as its a big show on Bank Holiday Monday...
09:25 Art Attack
09:50 The Big Bang
10:05 The Yuk Show
10:25 How 2
10:45 Art Attack Mini Makes
10:55 Brilliant Creatures
11:15 Kids Film: Treasure Island
Then from the Tuesday there's brand new Meg and Mog at 3.15, brand new 'Dora the Explorer' at 3.30 and MPAA repeats at 4.30

It would be nice to see the return of a good ident package. The ones produced in the last year are vary varied and random,
Well they created stings for My Life as a Popat and the other weeks they've had, which might mean they are keeping them.

Or maybe they could move to another studio complex that has spare studios where they could have a permanent home like Granada's in Manchester or Yorkshire's in Leeds.
I'd say London is more likely, don't think there would be room in Leeds as last time they had a permanent set (Wellbeing) they ended up having to film Countdown at Tyne Tees

So they're going back to the Carlton Basement? That will be very odd, I just think it is very stupid that Central News will have the big studio now.
Though AFAIK the contract to provide CiTV is still currently under Central, but you never know, as ITV could change their minds, but they can do this without a problem as it is one company. (Nearly)
I thought they would have been better moving to Nottingham, if they hadn't decided to close it.

It would be a shame, but CiTV links aren't what they became. I've been watching an old tape with the old big blue studio when they had the mad moving shadowed letters from sept 2001, they were very nice graphics, that didn't last long as they changed everything in feb 2002 to that horrible cool type set and graphics (that were rubbish) before the bouncing letters came in oct 2002.
Anyway they have Stephen, Dannielle, Tom, Leah, Leigh and David at the start of this era (as Leah, Leigh and David have just joined as the new presenters!).
They had a mass of new shows and returning series, they had guests, comps almost everyday, phone ins, emails and texts, along with a great uniformed graphic package with music on and a great set with the massive screen.
The amount of presenters was like a channel in itself.
Stephen and Dannielle had a great chemistry and adlibbed whenever they wanted, mainly because they were CiTV's faces, if only it was still like that nowadays!

Yes, i remember those days, it was such a good set up then. Brilliant presenters, brilliant programmes, loads of comps, interactivity with the viewers. I really don't know why they scrapped all that in favour with a bland set, bland presenters, no interactivity, bland logo.Whoevers idea to do that to CiTV should be shot, it was the worst decision in the history of CiTV.
When (if) they get a new studio, wouldn't that be an excuse to go back to the 2000 days and have the studio, old graphics, interactivity and maybe even axe Andrew and try to get Danielle back with a new, lively male presenter.
Please CiTV, if you're reading BRING BACK THE 2000 DAYS!
I hate (what was) the current CITV studio the set feels empty and is hard to focus on. I don't particularly like the idents either, the biggest problem with the idents is they don't appear to follow any scheme (if that makes sense). Before there a set style of ident whereas now it seems like they are trying to create an ident for every programme.

Ooops, my bad, not quite myself today, shame they won't be able to get a studio when this tour has finished. Just a shame they can't rehouse when the tour has finished, there has to be room at other ITV stations.
This studio always looked to me if it was mostly made out of Polystyrene. They could just keep doing Voiceovers with Andy and Lura like they are doing now, but with out going around sets.
