Dunno, if they got a good team in- presenting and writing- I'm sure they could do a good job with it. Though do really like MoM and it's starting to get back on its feet, I do hope it isn't axed.

Well considering the "find" was "archive CiTV

Same here, i wasnt sure about MoM either, it took me two shows to like it and after watching a show in full i decided to give it chance and its getting better every week i think.

Why are you making life so difficult?
The captures I posted many pages ago are all from the same era, I said so as much at the time. See page 180 - Andrea is on the video clip, I even said so when I linked to it.

I think SM:TV could come back and they could make a good job of it. I think the problem in the last year was that they simply weren't bothered. They probabally knew ITV were wanting to get rid of them and therefore stopped really putting any effort in towards the end (they were probabally suprised to be extended to December 2003, SM:TV gold was probabally thrown together at the last minute). I still think if MoM fails, bringing back a well known and sucessful brand like SM:TV would work. At the least theyshould still have Blaze making the enw showwithConor McAnnally at the helm.
As long as they have a good writing and presenting team (Dig out Des Clarke from wherever he's been hiding) and putsome effort in (cleary something SM:TV stopped doing when shadows were cast over its future) they could do a good job with bringing it back. SM:TV were still doing a good job and putting effort in for the first 15 months or so after Ant & Dec left, they just seemed to give up around the time ITV started questioning.
I've just gone through the last SM:TV (copied itfor a forum member) and while it wasn't the best effort, it showed they could do well if they tried (shame they never showed the Eminemmerdale ep).

Today's show was, well great, in my opinion.
The chemistry between Michael & Stephen was great even dropping in little jokes such as Stephen saying that Michael doesn't like being called Gary Wilmot.
Ray had many big parts today mainly due to the absence of Holly & the Doctor.
They had a great little kid performing as busted, who they gunged, I didn't think they would have done, but they did!
Buthaven was the same as usual, some bits were good, and it was entertaining, but one of the parts I loved was the 'Club Dad' feature with Disco-dancing Dads, it was great.
Overall, a very good show, I like the idea of these little seqments being added like 'Club Dad', and hope that they not only continue with this, but that they start new ones (and don't hold on to them too long to get them looking old!).
Back to CiTV (which hasn't been mentioned in a while), and they're continuing to go around the sets of the new shows, next week they are behind the scenes of My Parents Are Aliens which should be fun. But where's left for the last week of the Summer Holidays? Who Knows.
Judging by the trailers every new show is very adventurous, you've got My Life as a Popat (not that adventurous, but from some of the shots!), Scary Sleepover, The Worst Witch, My Parents Are Aliens (which includes a Pirate Episode by the looks of it, and some kid!), and a show with sword fights on a castle top (though only seen in the trailers, I haven't seen what the programme is), and then in the middle of nowhere an american computer animated show.
It would be nice if they were to screen a preview like they did on the Bank Holiday Monday last year, but with Andy & Laura and no Studio to use I don't know what they will be doing.
It does look as though the end boards are changing, for two trailers (My Life as a Popat, and Scary Sleepover), the end boards are a full red screen with a spikey shape on the left with an image to do with the show on top of that, as opposed to the current torn paper look.
It would be nice to see the return of a good ident package. The ones produced in the last year are vary varied and random, but what I have not liked is that they seemed to have removed the 4 note dity that was introduced last september on everything. I'm not sure what it was trying to achieve, or if they just couldn't add the music themselves and had no one to create it for them, who knows!
Still unsure of where CiTV are going to go in September with their old shared studio now being worked on to turn it into two for Central News West and East thus no CiTV studio, unless they moved back into the old 1998-99 studio where the current Central News CSO is currently set up.
Or maybe they could move to another studio complex that has spare studios where they could have a permanent home like Granada's in Manchester or Yorkshire's in Leeds.

Well the Friday before last they said they still had 2 more weeks on location so I would imagine that this will be the final week they are going backstage. It would make sense for My Parents Are Aliens to be the last show they visit as it is probably the biggest show they have.
