Why choose this week to give a rating example?? The simple fact of the matter is that these are kids shows made by CBBC and CITV and only the kids share really matters. Lets look at last week, TSS got 24% kids share MoM got 14%, the week before TSS 25% kids, MoM 19%. TSS beats MoM on the kids share week in week out and Diggin It rates with kids much higher that MoM, although as it is on later MoM has access to an overall higher audience that either Diggin It or TSS.

At Home with the mayhems - copy of TSS sketch in the kitchen.
Kid Singing - copy of Missy Belliot Kid
Big Arms Small bodies - copy of Diddy Dic n Dom
A song and a big gunging at the end - copy of Dic and Dom
(All my opinion of course!!)

Any response to that???

PS - The reasons for a low audience share for the beeb this week is because TSS went on air after Breakfast News and inherited a 2% kids share cause of the Olympics - not the 20% share MoM inherited!!!!

Very Happy

Well, excuse me!! The BBC Ratings are crap every week....you can go back right to the start of this year's TSS and you will find MOM beats them every single week!

And you're on about MOM copying TSS?! HAHA...that's laughable mate....TSS copied every single piece of SM:tv to try and get rid of it.....they did....and now don't try at all!!

Face it, TSS was only ever commissioned to get rid of SM:tv, and now that's done, the BBC don't care about us viewers!! Unless MOM REALLY humilates them like SM:tv did, they won't put in any effort

TSS....THE CRAPPEST SATURDAY MORNING SHOW OF ALL TIME

All good shows tend to pinch erm borrow ideas from other shows.

*thinks of fame academy*
erm maybe not all the shows that do this are good.

cdukjunkie officially cant read number if he thinks MoM beats TSS. Yes I admit, overall MoM has more viewers but, as I say it's a kids show and the KIDS rating are in TSS favour every week. For gods sakes mate, Misty beats MoM every few weeks and if MoM returns i will genuinely do this face Surprised

Well maybe you care about the Kids share, but the BBC & ITV always look at overall ratings..................... Laughing

No, the bbc is a public service broacaster and should really rise aboue ratings(other people can look and comment tho.) and Nigel Pickard is a big believer that kids shows are for kids (twas he who relaunched TSS to be younger)

PS - You cant compare overall rating is the shows have different TX times and therefore different availble audiences

I think someone from MoM reads this thread.

I see that since my post a few weeks ago the crew no longer wear shirts that say crew in big white letters. At least now they don't stand out a mile (apart from being amongst lots of children).

Did Ray genuinely screw up the joke with Michael or was it all er scripted.

I think it was scripted...unless what Stephen says about the fact that Ray cant act is true! lol

Buthaven needs opening titles i think. Why cant they use the little clip of the postcards appearing with the buthaven logo like they do when they do the coming up nex menu bed.

ITV are definately winning the Saturday Morning Ratings War!! Very Happy

The Audience Figures for MOM, cd:uk and their BBC competition for yesterday are as follows:

Ministry of Mayhem - 424,200
The Saturday Show - 183,010
The Mysti Show - 154,380

cd:uk - 636,520
Top of the Pops Saturday - 227,100

Providing it's the same figure collection we're taking about... I don't think either ratings arguements stand up as SM:tv and TSS 1 year ago were collectively getting 2m regular viewers and both shows last weekend got about 600,000 collectively, obviously both channels have gone way off the mark. Personally, I think they're both loosing the ratings war drastically and should produce good shows to pull viewers back, not crap ones that obviously push them away (ie not bother too much about ratings- apart from when they're that low.)

I beleive the highest rating this year comes from Dick and Dom who got 1.7m viewers when MOM was getting 600,000 so 2.3m shows that the viewers are still there. However, I think the above from cdukjunkie may be coming from different collection methods than I'm using as that would mean Mysti has 10 times less than D&D!

Whatever happens re-contracting time for MOM is ahead over the next month or so, so it'll be interesting to see what happens. (I'd like to see MOM get another year because I think the Foundation can pull out much better stuff than what they are doing.
