Ministry - Like the new look... quite a cool studio, thought they would do away with unused stuff (like the zip car) but wasn't expecting this much - very swish. Agree though that having titles would be better than the sung opening, keep the singalong at the end. Buthaven was OK (I especially liked the 'camp announcements') but time will tell if it's the next Chums or the next Casually... All in all OK, but still not quite enough to lure me away from Mysti in the morning...

On today's CITV Andy presented from the studios of 'My life as a Popat', it was quite obviously recorded. Laura and Swag did 'Bag the Swag' in the 'CITV post room' and looked like they were live.
Also I read on the My Parents are Aliens website that a 7th series has already been commissioned which will no doubt go out in Autumn 2005. Surely they would have to age the characters by then as the cast really would look too old.

Well Central News West have vacated the studio too. My guess is that there making some changes to the building in order to fit Central News East when it moves into Birmingham. The question is where will CiTV go then?

Yeah today in the post room they had Swag and behind him was a old CiTV logo from when they did all that "Be Part Of It" stuff. They must be up to something in the studio or why would they use the post room?

I've been watching saturday's ministry over again, and i think the reason that i don't like it is the lack of colour, and that it's really now a studio.
To explain, before this relaunch, the shell of the set was basically the big walls with the windows cut into them, which gave the impression that they were inside the ministry building (going by the ministry building on the titles and graphics), where as now it's all black in the background. Perhaps if the walls were still there, or just on one or two sides (you couldn't get one by the doctors lab), just to go under the impression that it's still the ministry with more added in.
It looks smaller to me too. And there are less places for the presenters to go. I prefered the old big sofa that could move (that they could bring back reapolstured (sp).) and it could fit more guests on, and wouldn't have to have interviews conducted on strange angles like last saturday.
Infact the only real thing that i do like is steps that the audience can sit on. The rest makes it look small, like the new door that they and guests come out of, very You Bet/Don't Try This At Home styled, but also takes up a hell of a lot of studio space behind it.
Oh well.
Also not really liking the CiTV things on location. I was wondering why they wouldn't go into the garden this summer, but it's obvious now that they would be disrupting central news view, imagine central news overlooking a multicoloured garden.
though why central news couldn't go into the small studio (virtual studio), maybe with a smaller sofa (though it may have just fitted), and done all bulletins from there, CiTV could have used the garden, and maybe done live links to the sets on certain days, rather than dodgy looking films (why does the picture look dodgy?).

With today being a Thursday there was reduced CITV presentation time with no Swag.
YTV at least ran the 4.25pm ad break about a minute early, so completely cut off Andy's recorded link and then returned to a frozen start of a Up on the Roof trailer which took about a minute to play.
Anyone know if Laura and Swag's CITV 'Post room' is actually still in Birmingham? It could be anywhere really

I agree that the MoM relaunch should have waited until September, Then Dick and Dom Might have something to compete with but i like the new set!. Wonder if MoM will have proper 'new' titles next week? i hope they dont sing at the beginning of the show each week it would be like re-launching the show every week with a big opening!.
Also there seems to be no post the last few weeks, is this due to the fact that its summer now and most of the younger viewers are on holiday?.

Blame it on his bad German accent.
I like elements of the new set but I prefered the backdrop on the old set which made it feel like it was in the Minstry building. The doctors' lab is quite nice. I can't help feeling that the Minstry of Mayhem is turning into SMTV
