Yes I found that Starfinder scheduling strange as well.

Re the new series of My Parents are Aliens, it'll probably follow the current repeat run of every episode ever made which they've been running since June

Also do you think it would be a good idea to rename the thread "the CITV and SMTV thread" or something?

Nice new astos with the ripped paper for the end of trailers! Looks promising for a new look, bare also in mind the vault door, thats about to explode! They presented from the garden last week and from CSO all of this week!

Shame they dont have a studio as they could have used link time wisely on sunday. No premiership on saturday = no sunday repeat, therefore CiTV 9:25 - 11:00. Made up of Big Bang, Fingertips and Art Attack. Should be good though!

I had the misfortune of switching on GMTV this morning and caught some of "Up on the Roof". The presenter on this is of the worst calibre, and an insult to kids intelligence. Completely ridiculous, in your face and over the top with silly over acted sketches with just a few pointless links in between Spiderman. Cheap and poor.

It's all a far cry from TVam and the Wide Awake Club. That was a well thought out, fun but educational kids show. These days it's just naff presenters making prats of themselves between wall to wall american cartoons.

And let's not forget the graphics, which are totally awful Evil or Very Mad

And the shows, which are just as bad- why are they still showing Pokemon? Kids got bored of that over 3 years ago!

Well SM:tv today was a disappointment. I'm totally bored of 'Sick Tricks' now which were never really funny in the first place. 'Gunging' people was something Ant and Dec said SM:tv would not contain.

'Kerry' (their sketch) was totally unfunny... and what the hell was Pop Pop Idol? Total rubbish.

Kerry did make a nice co-presenter though.

I aggree. SMTV has gone right downhill from the instant Ant & Dec left. They maamged to combine the studio links with funny sketches, skits and competitions. This doesn't seem to be done anymore- all we have are a few unimaginative skits (Eminemmerdale, GhostBusted, Only Fools and Hogwarts etc...) some comps and studio stuff that doesn't work at all. Axe the show now and bring in something fresh.

Well to be fair new ideas are being tried out but you may not find them that funny, whereas old funny ideas would be complained about because they arn't new ideas.

I thought Dirty Tricks was quite good, these funny cheeky kids they keep getting make the sketch better than it could be.

Pop Pop Idol itself wasn't particularly good, but the judges, Simon Cowbell and stuff was fairly amusing

It's not Kerry McFadden! I'd hoped she'd been elimidated from our screens!

Im sick of people going on about how rubbish it is now Ant & Dec have gone. Give these new people a chance. They have recntly had a new producer of SM:tv who is trying out new ideas. And remember that the show is aimed at 13 year olds and under. The show has always been aimed at this, but when SM:tv discovered that more family viewers and older children were tuning in they started to add jokes that could be found funny at all ages.

They have changed producers, changed scriptwriters and have tried new formats. Just like the big breakfast did they tried something new and may return. The shows that they have arent helping. The flinstones was funny when it was first made and then repeated a few times, and that's so raven is an ok funnyish new programme, but that hasnt got the strength that sabrina had.

Give them chance to try out new features. Do you remember when SM:tv first started, no audience, a remix of the cd:uk tune, presenting from the top of the tower, little sketches, no wonkey donkey song, simple phone in competitions. They worked at it, but they did have a good mix of presenters who could adlib well right from the start, and the good thing about when it started was with no audience they could rome around the whole studio and adlib as much as they liked.

SM:tv is so scripted which has been one of its problems recently. They dont even have the adlib freedom that the postbag offered.

They are doing all of the tricks because Stephen is a magician. He is also a great presenter. Was it me or did they not have any phone in games such as eat my goal or wonkey donkey this week?

Simon & Fearne are working terrifically well now as they have been working together every week for nearly a year! They have fun as the crew enjoy theirselves and go with simple features such as games with the celebrities rather than all sketches.

I hope that the new show will go this way when it starts, and that it doesnt feature too highly on magic if Stephen is main host!
