Noticed two weeks ago that Stephen said Spelling Smackdown was back by popular demand but the week after it didnt return at all, has it been dropped again?. MoM is deffently getting better i think. I saw in TSS's promo the other day they gunged someone in it, wonder where they got idea from?.

The Saturday Show does remind me of Fully Booked now. Obviously they both have BBC Scotland in common, but TSS does seem to have taken on that sort of compacted format.

MPAA THEME
This was re-recorded between series one and two, well spotted for noticing the subtle differences.

GRANADA MEDIA CHILDREN'S PRODCAPS
This was the "pill" device and it combined the Granada Media logo with that of the regional licensee attached to the programme. YTV and GRA were the only two ever TX'd, although there was an LWT version too IIRC.

MPAA latest is that Monday's episode was based around Lucy's 10th birthday and the fact that she couldn't have a party because Brian was pregnant. So the fact that she's only meant to be 10 throws out all the theorys mentioned a few pages ago!

As we all know some of the success of children's programmes is to do with the secondary adult references. There was a lot of this yesterday with Brian and Sophie looking in the 'Facts of Life' book and saying 'I don't think we did any of this Brian, I think we'd remember' and then turning the book upside down!

Today's episode was the first Carla Mendonca one. I used to think Barbara Durkin was just annoying with that silly voice, but I suppose after seeing many of the series 1 and 2 episodes that she actually was better

Today's episode was also the first one made by 'Granada Kids' rather than 'Granada Media Childrens'

I prefer Sophie Number 1 in MPAA.
I saw a episode this week with Sophie Number 2 this week and i dont find her funny as Sophie Number 1.

Well, I was up early this morning, and there was no sign of it. However, there was a new 'game' which was quite funny, involving placing a mint on your head and trying to move it down to your mouth by wiggling your eyebrows etc... it was quite amusing to watch some boyband trying to do this and failing! Good Show on Saturday. It is improving as they are all relaxing and having fun, which is the aim of the game. The Doctor & Stephen in the lab is still the best part of the show, and they are gradually adding lots of inuendo to it, and good on them for it. If they keep experimenting with ideas of games and features they'll have a great show on their hands.

I was watching the 2000 Live & Kicking the other day, they may have taken it all hip and trendy, but the way that features kept coming from all areas of the set and them popping up with sketches here and there was quite good, but with them being up against SM:tv, they stood no chance, a shame really! But this is the way that MoM should go and add parts of the show that just pop up out of no where, having feature followed by feature, rather than an additional programme and links to adverts.

Saturdays show was good. Its nice to see Stephen, Michael and Holly getting gunged with the crazy foam as usually they're the only ones who remain squeaky clean at the end of the show. Did they go off script a bit at the end of last saturdays Cakey Skate? They looked like they did.

Is it me, or does Stephen's "Dad" bare a very close resemblence to The Doctor.

Well, they both wear silly wigs and false teeth ... wouldn't you hate to be the 'actor' playing either 'Dad' or the 'Doctor'... you go to work wearing that every day Rolling Eyes . Anyway, today's show was quite good, there was quite a lot of unscripted stuff, although I kept flicking while The Saturday Show was still on... but the Mysti show was so awful, I kept having to turn back to MoM, even while Teen Angel was on!

of course the doctor and stephens dad are the same actor!

the easiest way of telling was to watch the subtitles to determine which portions were prerecorded as they were slightly ahead on certain parts but then 10 seconds behind on other parts!

i also caught some of the saturday show and it was really poor - moving it to scotland didnt help and was much better in its previous incarnation from london.
