Seems a shame that they don't tell us which one is Tina, and which is Gina.

It was My Parents are Aliens Episode 1 today on CITV. Sophie MkI seems quite annoying compared to the MkII version. Josh looks really young, although Alex Kew still looks quite young now. Someone who definally does look a lot younger in these early episodes is Pete who seems to have aged about 10 years in the last 5 years. Notice Pete and Josh's other friend that doesn't appear in later series, Mel's teacher doesn't appear later either

Also, anyone know what endcap this first series would carry when new?

I can answer this myself now.

The copyright says "Granada Media Childrens 1999" and then the endcap is yellow with a shortlived "G" logo on the left and a big Yorkshire TV chevron on the right.

Amazingly CITV left this up and showed it full screen, can anyone get a cap of it?

Well, well, well, what's been going on here then?

Not much that I can see! lol

I have two weeks off, and there's not much added, tut!

Let's get some of these questions out of the way shall we?

Aston. What game where they spray each other with foam?
The main games at the moment are cakey sk8 where they put cakes on skate boards and launch them at a wall (death by chocolate) and Watt Hertz where contestants answer questions and for everyone they get wrong their celebrity representitive is shocked.

The Ministry agents do go around the audience at the end with the foam and spray everyone is this is what you mean.

It's such a shame that they don't have more chaos. It should be more like a modern day Tiswas, or with elements of Mad for It. Have cages for people to get gunged at the end, throw buckets of water, gunge, slime whatever onto the audience, why be a good well scripted show, when you can get higher ratings by making a mess?

I'm not sure if Andy & Laura are related now that you bring it up, they may well be, I don't have a clue, or then again they may not be. They don't have the same accent, but who knows!

CiTV's another one that could do a lot better. Though ITV don't back it enough. They have given them 2 morning strands in this easter fortnight (excluding the usual weekend mornings), and these are Little CiTV programmes, they weren't on over Christmas, and haven't got a clue what's going on!

This fortnight is the Easter Holidays for virtually everyone.
All strands and channels are putting out Easter strands, games, competitions and graphics, channels throughout the day due to it being Easter.
CiTV comes along on Monday afternoon usual graphics, and Laura says 'Good Afternoon! Hope you had a good day at school!'. I'm sure everyone would have if there was school. I don't get why they don't make an effort anymore, or why they don't fight for extra time, even if it's on ITV2.

They could easily extend (as I've previously pointed out) to 5:30. Move the 4:30 programme to 4:45, this way viewers don't flip to BBC One at 5, get ITN to do a news programme (similar to newsround) aimed at children at 5:15, before newsround, attracting children to this first, and then having audiences passed on to ITV1 at 5:30 for a family quiz show or something!

Easily done, if only people had common sense.

As pointed out MPAA is back, everyday! I like My Parents Are Aliens, but it's really as though CiTV can't be bothered to do anything new or work with programmes.
Lately if a programme isn't working, it gets dropped to no return, rather be fought and pushed down peoples throats!
It's such a shame that it's going to this state!

Do be advised that not everybody has broken up for Easter. If your local area becomes overrun with schoolkids during school hours then it means that your local school(s) have finished for Easter and while by and large most of the rest of the country have done so likewise, it isn't always guaranteed.

What with?! There's nothing in the current line-up that's going to wipe the floor with Byker Grove, Grange Hill, Blue Peter or whatever.

I don't know why it just isn't extended to 6pm and have done with it. Much easier then and its an excuse for the crappy audiences at that time!

Me thinks ITV would scrap the segment altogether given half the chance and if it wasn't compulsory to provide such programmes... Smile
