Just heard about the figures for last saturday...very very interesting!!
5th MoM - 700,000 11%
D&D - 900,000 15%
The gap is getting smaller every week...maybe D&D should start getting worried?
Not so bad for 5 weeks in. I bet SM:tv wished they'd have got that bout for 5 weeks in! There's no improvement this week though is there? Has Dick & Dom dropped slightly, with the audience for the two combined getting smaller, i.e. going somewhere else?
I blame T4 Saturday as the teens that would have watched SM:tv in its heyday, and may watch Dick & Dom and MoM are off watching T4. And the dads that demand to watch Soccer AM. And the Mums that demand to watch Saturday Kitchen. Or the tots that cry without CBeebies!
Didn't want to start a new thread, but it's Leah's first day on Studio Disney today, and she's great.
Usually new presenters come along, and stand in the shadows of Nigel & Emma, Leah's up there with both today and is confident, bubbly, enthusiastic and adlibbing like mad!
It's different to CiTV as they have more time, have live callers, play games and you're expected to be as free as you want to as long as you get across the information and link to the programme on time.
They seem to have removed Jean of the website too, but she's still on the titles. The current titles are the ones filmed in 2002 after James departure where Kate (now on CBBC) and Emma (as she had been away) were added/readded to the titles.
Perhaps they will redo the titles soon with Leah & Ollie added. Though as the titles still use the old music and contains the cubes and spheres, new titles may get rid of the Studio Disney theme that uses the old Disney channel 3 notes, where as I think that Studio Disney should revert to the old 3 notes and bring back the cubes and spheres/balls, whatever, and be different from the actual channel!
A thought, If Kerry McFadden had taken the job on SM:TV Live instead of getting pregnant (I'm not sure at what point she would have joined if she had taken it), do you think the show would have been more successful and would be still on air now?

She
DID
take the job, it's because she got pregnant she was dropped before she'd even started as she was un-married at the time. she must have been offered the job in late 2000/early 2001 as that's when she fell pregnant and left the band, at that point the show was at it's peak so i don't know what kind of role she would have had, plus A&D didn't leave untill december 2001, so i doubt it was anything to do with their departure
Points of the past few posts. I can't understand why Studio Disney titles haven't been updated. The studio could do with an update too, it feels bland compared to the former before the move to new premises, especially now that they've removed those fabric stripes from the competition area.
Interesting about Kerry. I wonder whether Ant & Dec were going to leave before they did. The story would fit in well with her second child, as getting pregnant with her second would have been easter 2002 time round the time when H & Claire joined. It could have made sense with Kerry replacing Cat, though wasn't Kerry married at this point?
I still don't really like STUDIO Disney. There humourous sometimes, but overall - its a pain to watch.
A pain to watch? Why's that?
I find it easy viewing. They have fun doing it and it's fun to watch. They have good games, good features, good presenters, and good production so it generally flows well.
I really hate those phone call bits. I admit they are funny people, "Mark's birthday bash" refrence at the start of the show I found funny. But, all their games and crap annoy me. It's not my sort of show.

I like most of the games, though like everything I suppose it's not for everyone!
Leah seems to be fitting in well though!
Interesting at the end of today's CiTV, Gail & Andy were tickling Swag! They said what would be on tomorrow, and Gail & Swag also said that they've got a surprise for Andy, Andy looked bewildered, I wonder what it could be!
