Hi, I'm aware that MOM operates from Maidstone Studios but which studio is it based in? I recall watching Motormouth, What's Up Doc? and other programmes filmed in their largest studio and it was huge. The MOM studio just doesn't look as big as the one used for WUD & Motormouth unless it's due to the studio props etc.

I thought that. I remember them having a massive studio, a bit like when Blue Peter goes into Studio 4 (is this the one with the big doors?). It could be the rooms that take it up, but I'm sure it isn't. It was at least the size of SM:tv's/cd:uk's London Studio's - Studio 2. Wasn't What's Up Doc separated into different areas. It wasn't a studio that was seen altogether, if you get my meaning.

I remember What's Up Doc's studio well when it was at Maidstone ( due to STV's studio A being refitted hence why STV commisioned TVS to produce it ). I recall the jungle / aztec area where the bands would play, the huge tv screen which resembled an antique, and in the 2nd series a village was added to the set. I remember Andy Crane being interviewed and stating that the set was the largest set in Europe for a kids tv programme. So it still remains a mystery whether or not it is a smaller studio MOM are based in, or the largest one but the sets take up the space ?

I wonder if when The Foundation moved in. They had it separated into two studios.

I don't know about Andy and Gail... it looks like an older woman and her toy boy.

fanoftv, how old are you by the way?

Hopefully the askign age isn't a poke at the fact he's watchign kid's shows Wink!I'm 17 and as you can see here I love the Angry Beavers & Sabrina amongst other things (though whether that can be classed as a teen show is debateable) and I think the Fairly OddParents is the best thing coming out of Nick at the moment (considering everything else they've made in the past 5 years has been tripe- mainly the running into the ground of RugRats & the unfunny Spongebob). I don't think kids shows are just for kids at all, much of it can be appreaciated by adults (as long as it's not one of those educational or moral filled cartoons). I'm always catching my sister watching cartoons (And she's the rock chick, always watchign Kerrang!).

Just thinking actually, strangely enough, if you abbreviate Ministry Of Mayhem and Dick and Dom, you get:

MOM and DAD.

Anyone ever thought about that?

I mention about the MOM thing in reference to their target audience some time back. Must admit it is a bit weird, although Dick and Dom is not the full name of the programme (Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow).

I'm sure you'll get in, if I did anyone can! I'm 18 btw, I don't care if I'm too old for watching kids shows, I don't care. I usually work evenings but was asked to work a daytime shift instead!

I quite liked that Sonic X. The characters all come out of the Sonic Advanced 2 game (good game, back to proper sonic) on the gamboy advance. Brilliant Creatures was great, especially Stephen rushing off from the rhino before it woke up. In fact the only thing I didn't like and that I can't stand is Sleepover Club. I understand it's aimed at pre teenage girls, but I just think that it's rubbish.
Why are they getting Australian Imports at the moment? It's as though they're going cheap. I presume Sleepover Club and Pirate Islands were created for a cable network or something that stripped them across the week as opposed to once a week for pirate islands.

I'm still enjoying the new CBBC drama Powers. How come itv produces good drama, yet CiTV don't. I can't remember the last time they had an original drama. A few years ago programmes like The Worst Witch, and 24seven were around. Now there aren't even them!
Is it lack of funding? Or lack of effort? ANd they are thinking of launching an itv kids channel?

Well that channel would be a co-venture between ITV and another company such as Viacom or Disney.

I believe the sleepover club is a co-production with CITV. The CITV website is on the endcap anyway. CITV do have little in the way of original productions, all I can say is it must be a budget cut.

Would that still be such a good idea. Look at the current Disney Channel. They screen the same shows everyday of the week. When they have finished there run, they start again and repeat them.
Look at CBBC, they only screen a few programmes more than once, they put a lot of money in, and still get few viewers. So what is the answer?

I think it'd be sensible if they joined with Nick as Nick has alot of CiTV shows (mostly Nick JR) and vice versa.

That would be a good idea, there was speculation that CiTV was going to join up with Disney Channel and share some programmes like My Parents Are Aliens. Though theres not that much ITV on Nick, I can only think of The Worst Witch (United News and Media and HTV) and Translvania Pet Shop (Carlton) though they seem to share many programmes and it wouldn't seem like a bad idea. I don't know why but Viacom's channels in the UK seem to be getting more programmes from ITV, well mainly Nick and Paramount as there's tons of ITV on there, well mainly from the archives of Thames and Avalon.

Though one problem why ITV makes great Drama and CiTV doesn't is the budget of CiTV, its only like £35 Million, nothing compared to CBBC. Though it does need some investment and the creation of programmes needs to be let open to other companies, as CiTV's stronghold is Carlton, though Granada makes a couple of shows, maybe they should let more IPC's in like The Foundation or Ragdoll. Or do what they did with Boobah and share it with GMTV. Or make more programmes out of something popular like a book, like what they did with Woof.
