Today I saw that COTV are showing Sonic X. While this IS a new show, I'm wondering why they were bothering. I was obsessed with Sonic at one time, but his heyday passed around 1996 and it seems odd for a new production featuring him to be aired, I can't see it bringing about any form of comeback at all.

I doubt CiTV comissioned it, but they saw it was there, maybe had cheap rights and so bought them. Maybe he could make a comeback. His games have come back on the gameboy advance, and we seem to be in the middle of a comeback with both he-man & the turtles being just that.

Hi, I'm aware that MOM operates from Maidstone Studios but which studio is it based in? I recall watching Motormouth, What's Up Doc? and other programmes filmed in their largest studio and it was huge. The MOM studio just doesn't look as big as the one used for WUD & Motormouth unless it's due to the studio props etc.

I thought that. I remember them having a massive studio, a bit like when Blue Peter goes into Studio 4 (is this the one with the big doors?). It could be the rooms that take it up, but I'm sure it isn't. It was at least the size of SM:tv's/cd:uk's London Studio's - Studio 2. Wasn't What's Up Doc separated into different areas. It wasn't a studio that was seen altogether, if you get my meaning.

I swear I looked at tmw's schedule a few weeks ago and didn't see Snoic X. I've also not seen adverts for it, except for today. Perhaps a last minute schedule change?

Me and my friends used to love the show and games when we were younger - we even had toys and used to act it out in the playground. It won't be a craze again, is it replacing Angry Beavers?

It won't be repacing Angry Beaver seeing as it's on Wednesday, and TAB is on Tuesday. They better not get rid of TAB anyway, IMO it;s the only thign worth watching on CITV at the moment, and Nick & Nick toons aren't showing it at the moment (just a shame that the other of my animated loves (beside The Simpsons) Cow & Chicken/I AM Weasel isn't anywhere at the moment).

I used to love Sonic as well at one time, I had all the games and used to get the comic. My interest died as the craze died, I ceased getting the comic in 1997, stopped playing the games in 1998 and all lost my interest. Personally though, when it came to the TV series, I only ever liked the comedy one they made, never the action ones (this will be AFAIK the 4th Sonic series, 2 were made in the mid-90s, one in the late 90s and this one). I've totally lost interest in Sonic now anyway and really can't see myself getting into it again. Then again at 17 those sort of things aren't what you get into, if it's anything to do with computer games, by my age it's Tomb Raider, but I don't play computer games any more........

Sonic Underground was shown in the UK, can't remember what channel it was though. I found it incredibly dark.

Channel 4 showed the original series I know that, but for the Underground series I don't know if it was Channel 4 or GMTV. I also know the original got a re run on TCC in the late 1990's.

Just saw a clip on MHP Private Parts where I was suprised to see a repeat of Crystal Typps and Alistair, a BBC show, which was repeated on ITV in the mid 1980's.

I can't think what it's replacing. It's usually Angellina Ballerina, something and then Brilliant Creatures. Was it What About Mimi?

They were advertising Sonic X last week. If not at the beginning towards the end of it.

Yes its replacing one episode of What about Mimi. But that's still on on Mondays and Fridays as normal.

I thought Gail wasn't used to live tv yesterday and unlike Andy she wasn't fully sure where what she was saying was going, she was better today, what did people think of today's two presenter line up?

Oh! Did they have the presenters today? I missed the whole thing. I was working. The one daytime shift I've done in ages, and I miss it.
How were they together? As good as Michael & Leah were together? Do they have a chemistry?

There was a really weird link at 4ish today for Bernards Watch, this being the first time I have seen the both of these presenters together and they seemed okay, but the guy (I don't know his name) deliberately froze and did a Mrs Doyle collapse. Then it went onto a break then I switched over.

I remember What's Up Doc's studio well when it was at Maidstone ( due to STV's studio A being refitted hence why STV commisioned TVS to produce it ). I recall the jungle / aztec area where the bands would play, the huge tv screen which resembled an antique, and in the 2nd series a village was added to the set. I remember Andy Crane being interviewed and stating that the set was the largest set in Europe for a kids tv programme. So it still remains a mystery whether or not it is a smaller studio MOM are based in, or the largest one but the sets take up the space ?
