Remember people were complaining about the lack of Summer Holiday kids tv this year. Well ITV1 have got kids stuff all the way from 6am to 10.45am tommorow, plus some kids films after that.

Oh well seeing as they've got 1 day in 6 weeks that's alright then...

I enjoyed the CiTV Xtra bits today; it was a preview to whats coming up and ppl's fav bits from the last year.

They had no full programmes and as such Michael & Leah were absolutely wonderful on live tv; as they always are but they get hardly any time in the afternoon to do so! What they should do is cut down the ep's of shows like hey arnold where its two stories in one show to the one story and spread live time between it.

Some of the new shows look quite nice. Though there werent that many and some of the highlights they shownt looked like repeats. The usual shows are back like art attack, finger tips and jungle run (which does look a lot better now michael has taken over!).

It was a nice way of ending it having Michael & Leah being abducted by a CiTV space ship thing; to do with alien week next week. It would be even better if they could get guest presenters for the rest of the week and have michael & leah being dropped back to earth next monday!

Right, I have not watched CITV for ages (well, why would I) but just wondering, You know that Blond Kid who kept messing up and was rubbish, was he sacked? Wonder why He did not last long? Did the Kids not like him?

Yes the show was quite fun and was completly live!, and as you say its a pitty this isn't reflected during the afternoons. Sometimes they are so short for time the programme starts straight after the ads rather than going back to the studio. The idea about cutting an episode of Hey Arnold to allow more studio time is a good idea, and should try and get CITV in a position to beat CBBC on weekday afternoons

They confirmed the SM:TV Live Gold coming in the Autumn and also that SM:TV will be showing the new series of Sabrina

Yeah it was great. Perhaps CiTV should think of doing this; as this morning Leah & Michael had the chemistry of johnny & denise on the bb.

Another idea is to do like sm:tv and turn CiTV into a show and add programmes in it; rather than it being around the programmes!

The blonde guy; Tim had a 6 month period; at the end of it they sacked him. The girls fancied him, but he wasnt a good presenter!

Off topic, but talking of missing kids TV presenters, what happened to the winner of CBBC's Making It - has she been confined to present on the CBBC channel.

She's been on the channel for about 10/11 months now.
I had a look on the CBBC website for you and it says
"Well, I still have a couple of weeks left so if you want to get in touch, leave me a message on the boards! " so it looks like they're not saying about keeping the contract. She may be extended to BBC ONE/TWO if they decided to re-sign her.
There may be a new series of Making It coming soon so that's why they want to get rid of her.
If they do sack someone I hope they keep Maddy and get rid of Gemma and Mohini (the researcher who presents now and then and is a replacement for Fearne on the new Eureka TV). She's much better than both of them.

Mohini is fearne's replacement?

It was a surprise to see Fearne with stephen on the preview of finger tips; though they are either repeats or ones that were recorded but never put out. Though Stephens hair is how he has it now, but fearnes is her old hair!

Back on topic, unusual for CITV presentation, today's programme actually had credits and was copyrighted to "Carlton Television". (Then followed for some reason by the same Alien Week trailer twice, did all regions show it twice?)

Next week CITV seems to run until 5.05pm, maybe this will mean there will be more presentation, or maybe its just the programmes that are slightly longer

They have been running (or its being said that they've been running) till 5:05; though this may have been reduced slightly recently; though they were still finishing at 5 for ads and then itv start the show earlier!

When CiTV do a long show they put credits on the end of them; when it relaunched in 1998 they had credits every friday afternoon (well every fridays when their was a performance; which usually was every friday!)

Yeah the same trailer was repeated twice hear in carlton central west. I dont know whether another trailer should have been on between the alien week and was it the mini makes one? Or whether they just overan; or underan and had to fill!

As I said previously it was nice how they had michael and leah being abducted by aliens at the end; in preparation for alien week; and if michael and leah had a week off and were dropped back to earth next week it would be good continuity and a clever use; as leah hasnt had much time off this year; and when michael's been off he's been filming one of his many shows for CiTV; he's nearly got as many as Stephen!

After the two Alien Week trailers it was one for UP2U as I recall. I thought that maybe the network showed the Alien Week trailer and then GMG North carried on and also showed it, but obviously not. I wonder how many CITV trailers the 'regions' were provided with to show outside CITV times.

Anyway, I've been looking on the CITV website, someone suggests Danielle Nicholls for saturday mornings. What do you all think, Danielle and Stephen for the SM:TV replacement?

Stephen and Dannielle would be great; as they already know each other and have got on well together for years.

Does any one know what Dannielle is doing now? I hated the way how Tom & dannielle left; they just disappeared; it wasnt right; i believe she left as she was doing night fever; but dont know what she's up to know that its finished!

Though really Stephen is the main man for the job as he is a great presenter and can work with anyone! The only thing is Dannielle may be too loud! But it was always fun when she was on CiTV!

I cant think of anyone else who I'd like to see on the new show; except for Josie D'Arby; she's a great presenter that would rule with something like this; some may say she's too old; but who cares about age when ur under 10?! Dermot O'Leary would be good if they wanted a threesome!
