Personally I think that they should have done what the Saturday Show did and completely overhauled the programme whilst keeping the same name. It might have worked for SM:TV.
In a comparison between BBC and ITV at least BBC came up with a completely new and original format for Saturday mornings, whilst ITV uses the same programme concepts but under different names.
From what I saw of the programme (about 10 minutes) I would say that the title "Ministry of Mayhem" is very misleading to what the show looked like. It looked like an SM-TV that was aimed at younger viewers personally.
I watche about 5 mins of it and then turned off. I mean the wee kiddies get there dose of Diggin' it but...uh oh!... where has stuff for 12-16 year olds gone?
why debate..it was rubbish...it wont get better...itv got very lucky with ant or dec...they were not prity boy presenters who cannot present like those who do childrens tv..im telling you know it will be gone and another itv hack rush job..please please get rid of that steven bloke...he is the worst..as a channel tv viewer..LET PUFFINS PLA(I)CE TAKE ITS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!
Personnally I'd like to see if MoM fails that ITV goes back to blaze and gets them to recommission SM:TV. I don't think Saturdays are ever going to be right again without it.

But then it would be the same old 'SM:TV isn't as good since Ant and Dec left' sort of talk and 'This new game is rubbish bring back Wonkey Donkey' etc, just like what this thread was discussing before SM:TV Gold started
I didn't think it was that bad although like fanoftv said it does need improvements some of the sketches were funny and some weren't so funny. I thought the dwarf security guard was good and the opening song and I'm ashamed to admit this the opening song is starting to grow on me well I've heard worst. I give it an 8 out of 10 and I know that's a bit high but it gets 2 extra points because Holly was presenting.
But then again if MoM is really bad and doesn't improve, if SM:TV came back, I wouldn't be suprised for everyone just to be happy for a half-decent Sat Morning show. Obviously we do still have to give the show chance to improve, no doubt we'll be seeing tweaks over the next few weeks, and I think the characters will be the first to go along with the audience setup- when The Saturday Show first began the audience setup was simialr in that they were isolated and they quickly changed it. But if the show does fail I think SM:TV, or at least a show with a similar format would be ITVs best option for where to continue as they know it works- as long as they have a good writing team & presenters- which was SM:TVs failing at the end.

C'mon ITV!
I say give it about 2 months and It'll be axed!
Incase you forgot the show is not targeting 12-16 year olds.
Wherein I think lies the problem. SM:TV was targeting older age groups as well as kids, and that's one of the main reasons for its success. In 2001 SM:TV was getting over 2 million vieiwers- massive for Saturday mornings. One of the things about Sat Morning TV is you get teenagers & adults watching as well as kids, if you aren't targeting the older people you might have problems
Another thing that they are missing, if they are going to have viewers phoning in, surely they should have a phone number jingle to replace the twins saying it!
Give Chris-y B a chance, he'll get one in there, I guarentee
Watched MoM for 3 mins then turned over to Dick and Dom. MoM was rubbish meanwhile when I turned over to Dick and Dom it had the MAD thing on, much more entaining. BRING BACK SM:TV
