A new Ministry of Mayhem promo after todays CiTV, featuring the places being struck mixed (with SM:tv telly effects) with shots of Michael, Holly, Stephen and a cartoon of a boy and an egyptian mummy, it ended with the cartoon robot again. I presume this is part of the titles. I'm wondering if the places being hit are part of them aswell.

actually that was shown at the end of citv yesterday too

Oh was it. I missed the end of yesturdays as I was watching 'powers' on CBBC. I hope they do a live link up tomorrow, but part of me wants them to be backstage when they do it so that the set isn't revealed before the show.
Though when SM:tv did it last March, they shownt the set, and the angle it was shot in for CiTV made it look better than it did in the programme. This was the only time before a relaunch that the friday link up was done to the studio, as in 1998 and 1999 (when it launched and when the set majorly changed), ant, dec & cat were in the CiTV studio. It was most probably recorded, but it was good to have them there.

I'm going to be so excited, especially when the GMTV end sting plays out at 9:24 on saturday. I'll be even more excited if we see the presenters tomorrow afternoon.

I've just had a look over on the MPAA message boards and noticed two exclusive items of news which come directly from the cast themselves...

1) There will be a Series 6 of My Parents are Aliens being made this summer for transmission in the autumn on CITV. It's 15 episodes which is two more than usual, so maybe a normal 13 episode run plus 2 new Xmas episodes maybe?

2) News that is more imminent. My Parents are Aliens Series 5 reruns will be a feature of the Ministry from this Saturday. So if the show is a bit poor at least MPAA will be good, and maybe now we know why the MPAA Saturday reruns last year seemed to be abandoned after one episode

This is good news. And two new episodes of series 6. I hope they keep the writing up to scratch. I wonder if they will age them this year? Part of me wants the ministry to show programmes in full, rather than than cutting, though it may be better to see more live stuff.
The ideal situation is to have two programmes, and an extra half an hour.

I've never understood why they don't start cd:uk at 12:00. That would give MoM and given SM:tv an extra half an hour, and would take them through to the news and on the ball, rather than programmes that they do put on at 12:30, wasn't it a Peter Pan documentary on the new film the other week, presented by Fergie!

I see Andy has his picture on the CITV website now, still no sign of the Ministry of Mayhem website yet though.

Patience!

Swag's now appearing in video on homepage for the first time.

Swag has moved to the home page pic (replacing Andy) and is the opening video clip. Previous clips 1 to 4 (including the MOM one) have shifted to 2 to 5.

Andy's pic is on a lot of the internal pages. Still no profile for him on the website, or any website link for M.O.M.

The pictures you refer to are actually ads which appear when commercial campaigns are completed, hence the randomness of Swag/Andy.

The logo isn't what I expected.

Wow. So I take it that the robot will be part of the titles then. It looks an amazing logo, like a secret organisation. Perhaps the set will resemble more of an X-Men house with all of the technology and gadgetary rather than a 'da'bungalow' type house.

That logo is goo. I just hope the show is as good. I can't wait now!

Wow. Nice preview at the end. Shame we couldn't have a link up, but we got a bit of the titles, I presume. Just compare them to the March 2003 SM:tv titles!

We still have the bubbly goodbye thing with no music though.

It's interesting that the website address of www.itv.com/mom is redirecting to the CiTV website.

It's hard for me to really have any judgement from what I've seen today both the trailers & the end preview, I'll have to wait a few weeks to really see what I think of the show, but my intial thoughts are that it doesn't look as good as SM:TV (well, SM:TV before Brian & Tess left, and Shavaugn did her vanishing act- there really was nothing left by the point when there was just Des & Stephen), though it should hopefully be better than Dick & Dom (though that shouldn't be hard). And did anyone hear what the name of the new cartoon they are showing is? It sounded an odd name, definatly not a show I'd heard of before. I wonder if it's the same draw that Cow & Chicken and Angry Beavers were to early editions of SM:TV- both of those shows were quite well known as they had been doing the rounds on Cartoon Network & Nickelodeon respectively for a around a year before SM:TV launched. The name I heard on the MoM rundown doesn't ring a bell with anything that's showing on any of the kid's channels, it might be a home production. Maybe they should have tried bringing in a popular show from one of the kid's channels rather than trying anything relitivly obscure, there's quite a few good ones out there that are yet to have a terrestrial airing.
