I found that "SWAG" being a wild animal thing quite funny. I'm beginning to like Andy, but he needs a co-presenter.
He does need someone. He's ok, he's not as good as Michael was on his own, and after watching puffin's pla(i)ce today he's not as good as Kevin, but as Kevin says he needs time. He's still a bit calm for me. Even though Stephen does calm, he still had wild moments, like shouting 'Afternoon!', where as Andy comes on with 'Good Afternoon, I'm Andy...' in a quiet low relaxed tone.
All in all he needs someone with him, if not more than one.
One thing CITV definatly needs is more home-grown programmes. When I was younger they made some really good programmes, Children's Ward is one that springs to mind. Shame that they've deicded to go for the under 10s audience and are making little effort on the production side. Still, at least they have in-vision pres which is different from when I was younger, I (and most other people I knew) hated their out-of-vision presentation style. I found it very cold and unfriendly.
But it is still kids tv. That's who it's aimed at, as long as they can get kids to watch it, they won't mind.
Both The saturday show and Da Bungalow are only hits with kids, and the ratings are quite low, and that's because the presenters don't appeal to older audiances as well as young as the likes of Zoe & jamie did and Ant Dec and cat. Plus no matter how much the BBC say they are happy with the ratings, im sure they're not, as it isn't getting the attention from the media like L&K and sm;tv did, no ones talking about them. Michael & Stephen are like fearn, that other bloke she presents with (i cant even remember his name) and Dick&Dom, they don't really appeal to anyone but kids, which could have an affect on the MOM.
if the Mom is a hit with the Kids and only the kids, it will be the start of a dark era for saturday mornings, as both main channels will be churing out kids crap that
ONLY
kids are actually watching
Dick and Dom is a hit with the adults - it really is. I don't like the show, but it's the truth. It's very much talked about aswell, everyone shouts around my school yelling "BOGIES!".
Is MoM going to be on all year round like SM:TV or are ITV going back to the traditional way of having a different Saturday morning show during the summer ?

I think the idea is that it will be on all year round, and they are putting a lot of money into this rather than spread the fee between two shows.
Not long to go now until we see what it will be like. Will it be better than the first SM:tv? Will it be better than the final months of SM:tv? Will it be a unique, funny, and entertaining show? We will have to wait and see!

I like that bit too. I only like about 15 minutes of that show surrounding the BOGIES segment. The rest of it is stuff for the kids which is their target audience.
I know what some of you are saying about the show should be for kids with the adults in mind but then the last few years of L+K were bad in terms of guests. They would rotate the same old C rate boy/girl bands. It was only when SMTV got credible when the better guests wanted to appear on the show.
With Dick and Dom having a no celeb rule making that impossible but hey, cheaper to produce! It will be interest to see what route Mayhem takes when it launches.

Well if the first show guests, S Club 8 are going to be in. SM:tv didn't have guests as such when it first started. They used to grab guests from cd:uk to give away quick prizes. And SM:tv went downhill in terms of guests when Ant, Dec & Cat had all gone. They maintained it for a bit with cat there, but then they all disapeared.
They used to get most of the big pop stars that were going to appear on cd:uk, but when cd:uk started to pre record most of their performances with only a few cheap pop bands on the live show, this tradition went.
