Personally, I think they shouldn't have included Sabrina and Sponge Bob. There was too much to fit in and not enough time.

Here's my pictoral tribue to SM:tv. I know it should go in mocks or something, but i thoughtit was more apt here. Its only been done in paint btw

Well its a good montage, where did you find all those pictures

What with the final SM:TV. The whole of CITV really in in limbo at this point. Nobody really knows what Ministry of Mayhem is going to be like and nobody knows who will be linking between shows on CITV come January 5th!

In the Turn on Terry thread some of the production team thanked us for talking about it on TV Forum, I wonder if any of the SM:TV team has ever lurked, we need to know what happened to Eminemmerdale. Maybe they are saving it for the DVD that Blaze might release if they fall on hard times!

Speaking about CiTV from Jan 5th, what programmes are on that week? Are there many new ones? Well ones that weren't on before christmas, has the schedule changed any? And what are we left with from pre christmas?

Perhaps they should have done an alien week 2 at the start of january to get starfinder out of the way, along with new invader zim and my parents are aliens classics (again), or see if they could bag the blobheads from nick also.

i wonder who we will get. Maybe, just maybe we might have a new startup ident too. With all of the faces for the new year. I bet Stephen, Michael & Holly will be on there somewhere ,if there is one. Though I suppose, if programmes are changing they've got to change it!

The biggest surprise I got on SMTV yesterday was by watching Sabrina. One of the lead characters on the episode yesterday played by actress Soleil Moon Frye, once played the lead child as Punky Brewster in the 80's. Those were the days watching that! I thought she had disapearred of the face of the Earth!

I thought this would be a good excuse to once again upload all the versions I have of the SMTV theme this time with some extra additions

SMTV 1998: The Interfearance CDUK theme used in show 3. The original version had "Wake Up, It's Saturday sung over it.

SMTV 1998-B: Original Steve Brown theme used from show 4 until August 1999.

SMTV 1999: The familiar theme used from September 1999-September 2001 and again in the last few months.

SMTV 2001: Used from September to November 2001

SMTV 2001-B: Used until the relaunch in March of this Year.

SMTV 2003: The short lived theme to coincide with the arrival of Des and Shavaughn

And also I have two of the seasonal variants.

SMTV Xmas 1: Used in 1999 and 2000

SMTV Xmas 2: Used in 2001 and 2002

Enjoy!

Thanks for them Robin. Though the 1998-Sept 2001 versions (the top 4) aren't working.

I must say, the SMTV 1999 version is by far the best. They should never have changed it. The following version just sounded awful and it was so obvious that they just faded a new version in over the old version. I quite like the 2001-B version though, with the stabs at 12 seconds in.

I'm not sure, I quite liked the original myself. It brings back memories of where they didn't care what they did as they weren't that high in the ratings, and thus how the SM:tv we knew and love came about.

I actually thought the last version the March 2003 was a great version, if only the titles had backed it up. Though they did try something new, and I did like most of it. How they were trying to inject new life into the show.
The 2001 mix wasn't bad, it was just refreshing the old tune, and the graphics that went with it were superb!

Just imagine if the first version (show 1) of SM:tv was successful, SM:tv may have stuck like that forever!

Analysis..
The Sleepover Club obviously looks to be a CiTV original, looks very girly.

Sooty and Bernard's Watch are a bit youngish.

Teen Angel is old and has taken a long time to get to terestrial, it was on The Disney Channel in like 1997/1998. However, it was made to be the "male" Sabrina and is very "fun".

As Told By Ginger is very dark in the new series, they're not having as much fun as they used to it and to be frankly honest - it's lost a bit of its charm. I still love it however, but it's not as "fun" as it used to be.

I'm a bit surprised by Spongebob Squarepants at 4:30pm, if any toon should be there, it should be Ginger - however Spongebob is very good.

Doesn't look that good looking at it. It's packed with other channel imports, some shows that haven't been made in ages are back, so likely to be repeats, and by names I don't think ill be watching the sleepover club!

Looks as if CiTV is losing its way. They did say that they wanted to target a younger audience, I just hope that they realise what they are losing by doing this.
