Isn't week 26 the end of June? so if thats the case Saturday Showdown might/will end on the 24th June? or is it the first week of July?

There was no "chosen one" this week and at the end of todays show after they announced this weeks 10 key winners Stephen says that there's no chosen one for next week. It makes me wonder how much money they actually have left.

I've just read this thread for the first time in days, where's the story about Saturday Showdown ending come from, is there a link to it?

Regarding the "chosen one", maybe last week's winner couldn't do it? I can't see them costing much money, they are practically a free guest

I emailed the duty office asking about it and they said:

This series is due to finish in July and at the moment we do not have confirm details of a futher series. I would however suggest that you check on our website www itv.com/ where details will appear when a decision has been made.

I was flicking between ITV 1 & CITV around 925am this morning, noting that Showdown was simulcast on both channels.

You would expect the same cartoon to be on both channels at the same time, but there was 2 different things on screen.

It only joined up together when they had those 2 on from 'How2' !

I'm not a regular viewer of the kids stuff thesedays, so if it is a regular occurence, forgive me.

I received an e-mail from the duty office saying:

'there are no plans to axe SATURDAY SHOWDOWN'

I think they should try and make it look like they go to different schools in series 8 of my parents are aliens.I think with the old series all we can call it is hybird school!

it only time it will be different is when the cartoons are on, I'm sure it for contrackul reasons i think
