Just noticed that the BBC's Fern Cotton is appearing on CITV's Saturday Showdown programme as a guest next week!
Has this ever happened in the past? It seems an odd choice of guest!
Yes it happened a couple of weeks ago with JK and Joel guesting on the same show.
Yes I remember JK and Joel appearing but at least one of them was there talking about his appearance on The Games and also about their raedio show - what is Fern going to talk about?
It was a really good show today. I think Fearne will just generally be there for Holly as they are best mates and gel together well. Its a shame that Stephen won't be there because Fearne and Stephen also have a great chemistry and it could make a really good trio for that show. It is strange though that first they had JK and Joel now Fearne. All they need now is Sam & Mark and they would have completed the set of presenters from TOTP Reloaded! I wish that they would get rid of that fish tank though (already suggested here) and maybe they could have an audience on one side of the studio while stuff is going on on the other side such as when they play pumping on your stereo the audience are in the kitchen but when they have performances or play celebrity window cleaners the audience are in the living room. They could also bring back the concept of Dare where they have a boy and a girl daring to do stuff whoever chickens out first loses and the other team get 10 points for each successful dare. Any discuss my ideas if you want ...

Good points. I'm still not sure on whether an audience would work or not. The crew are quite vocal now, and I'm not sure if they would fit into the setting of the flat. Though there's nothing to say that they won't get rid of the flat in the same way that they got rid of the ministry.
It is a very strange choice for Fearne to be on the show, though I agree that it will be a shame that Stephen won't be there as they seemed to get on well on finger tips.
They could easily leave their 'flat' during the summer holidays and go on a tour around the country. It's something that other shows (eg. The Saturday Show) have done and most games could work in any setting.
I think the best CITV programme that used to travel around the country - and a format that has not been seen for years (financial reasons I presume!!!) but could easily be used again is....
GHOST TRAIN!!!!
Now that was a show - shown during the summer months whilst rest of the year it was
No.73
then later on it was
Motormouth
again, both good formats that have not been used for a few years and would be a good alternative to todays Saturday morning drivel.
