INTERESTING FACT: The game 'Play Your Farts Right' was originally advertised back in the early days of Ministry of Mayhem (as it was back then), as they asked the viewers to send in their own farts, and if my memory serves me right a fartline, as the three of them (Michael included) joked about viewers having one brewing, and running to the phone to phone them and hold it to their bottom.

I think I'm going to sound the stolen idea alarm, as I definately recall The Saturday Show pre-Dick & Dom saying about planning a new game called 'Play your farts right'.

Edit: I suspect the assistant for the Showdown extra game of 'Play your Farts right' is Peter Cocks. There's something about the appearance and humour of 'Egor' that is similar to the Doc.

I agree there, watching it back egor's humor is just like the docs a bit especially the way egor makes stephen laugh in a similiar way like the doc does.

Has anyone got any pic's of Egor on Showdown Extra as I recorded the ITV1 Show but missed the Extra bit ?

Makes the beeb moving CBBC over to BBC2 basically for Saturday Kitchen look a bit daft.

No particular replacement for CD:UK in the next three weeks, just old children's films and acquired stuff.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but how do you know so much about ITV and CDUK? Wink

I work in ITV presentation....you hear things here Smile

Buster, do you have any idea what ITV's real reason for axing CDUK is? If it was down to ratings, why didn't they axe it when Cat Deeley was still presenting? It's actually doing better in terms of audience figures without her Confused

No that's not the one as if I recall they actually used/played that on The Saturday Show. 'Play your farts right' was a game that they mentioned they were planning, but they never actually used though it was to require viewers recording their farts. I guess the BBC managment probably heard the idea being mentioned and decided they were going to pull the game.

Not really I'm afraid. My hunch is that it has just run it's course really, bit like SM:TV - I doubt if it was still in the same position as the first few years when Ant, Dec and Cat were presenting it it'd be getting axed, regardless of any financial situation. That said I bet ITV are looking forward to paying for cookery instead....!

The show really took a downturn in format towards the end to be honest. They changed a lot about the format from 2002 onwards, to the point where to me it just seemed to lose everything that was interesting. Last year's relaunch just seemed to kill what was left- especially by dropping the proper chart and replacing it with the stupid "mitracks".

'Dodge Dollys balls' must be prerecorded somehow, as there playing it this week, despite Holly being away again this week.

Is that so they can show a week of Corrie specials or is it a permanent move for quiz shows at 4.30pm?
