Anyone know why Sniff has absent since the show 2?. Has he been axed or is the person who play's him is ill?

He did come back fo one show, if you remember, but then disapeared again.

For all we know, it could be that he's ill or he just can't make it for some other reason. Then again it could be budget cuts.

But then again, is it just me, if it is budget cuts who'd prefer to see the Doc return than have all of the rubbish pop stars on each week?

Probably just busy with other work, remember back when they were the leprechauns on Live and Kicking he went off for a whole series to work on Farscape.

Why not contact Darryl Worbey he help design and create Scratch & Sniff.

He may be able to shed more light into the whereabouts of John Eccleston.

Looking at past eposodes - It looks like Dodge Dollys balls has been a very well engineered pre-recorded insert, even with the callers.

When you work in radio and tv there is always ways around things !!!

Well, I can remember the edition on SM:TV that was pre-recorded, with Eat My Goal also being pre-recorded. They made it obvious though by the fact it was pitch black outside, whereas looking out my window it was quite the opposite.

I know getting callers on a recorded show is quite easy, you just ring them anytime and tell them to pretend they are live, but I can't work out how they can manage to get the callers to shout left/right at the right time, if they can't see what is going on!

Anyone any ideas what TV trickery is going on here?

It's probably the kids of the staff / crew who have been brought in, watching what's going on whilst on their mobiles.

A big con really isn't it ? Do they give viewers the impression that they can call in to enter the competition ?

I very highly doubt that DDB is pre-recorded, more like the segments around it

One of them is definately pre recorded. And I can't actually remember them giving out information to play dodge dolly's balls, though I suppose Stephen & Holly aren't supposed to know whats going on.

I'd say that some of the earlier shows were pre recorded, but at the moment I'd say that they were live. I don't know why they just seem different when they are and are not.

What was the schedule like on the itv version of SS last week?. Dodge Dolly's Balls was straight after spongebob as it was after the first half of grizzly tales and on the citv channel we kept getting two menu trails and the citv advert when each cartoon ended. I'm guessing Spongebob is longer than grizzly tales?

What is the point of Saturday Showdown Extra, when it is only 20 minutes. Surely it will be better for programme to be 1 hour long. They will only be able to fit in one extra game.
