All they need is the doctor back now!. I liked it when Andy Peters started to sing the L&K phone number after theirs!.

Everybody together now!
081 811 81 81!

In fact, that was the phone number for virtually everything on the BBC until around 1999.

I know it was used alot for the children's dept, but i did not think it was used much for the main networks. I thought only things like Children in Need or Comic Relief were the only others to use this number. The jingle used to be a trademark of Saturday morning tv for years, they even modified it when BT changed the sequence to 0181... Trust the BT to screw this old cheesy routine up, when switching to the 020 sequences.

I think they had stopped using this number by the time the 020 code came in though.

I seem to remember them changing it yet again into an 08 number with accompanying jingle which was never as good.

Then who could also forget...

0891 33 99 55!

As suggested last week Ram Ray was back today, they added another wall at the end at of the kitchen where Ray would run through a object rather a door, i think doors are better still. Is anyone else thinking that Saturday Showdown will slowley get rid of the boys V girs format and and it will turn in to something like the SM:tv format?.

I think it'll be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks that Bungalow is now ending next week (well the following after a best of show).

After 2 years of being able to copy ideas, I wonder if Holly will soon appear in a big truck delivering it to people across the UK Wink

It'll be interesting too to see how the show progresses after the last bungalow.

I've just seen a clip where D&D were advertising for a competition involving grannies and at the end Dom has a dig at MOM by saying "and remember you saw it here first, if you see it on another channel, yes you know what i mean! " or something followed by a voice-over singing Dom is angry

I think this is the clip (taken from http://users.telenet.be/bartvanneste/ ): http://membres.lycos.fr/sutoymarkus547s/1october_gamefirst.wmv

Copy and paste the URL into your browser, else it doesn't seem to work.

It was definanately great to see Ram Ray back. I noticed on Chantelle Living the Dream (watched purely only because they were behind the scenes of Saturday Showdown.

They ended with a shot of the Studio 2 sign, but from the look of the back of the studio there was a black wall, and it looked very tiny.

Though this week, especially as they've built on the extra wall for Ram Ray, and the shot for the run up looked massively long. Maybe they have been in 2 all along, but why has it been so small and tight?

It really was a great show yesturday, the only thing missing was the Doctor, Mr Lee, and the audience, plus the great old theme.

Is it just me that forgot how great Andi was as a presenter until Dancing On Ice Extra, and yesturdays appearance on Sat Showdown?

Granada Kids and The Foundation will make a new weekday afternoon comedy game-show for CITV fronted by the two hyena puppets that star in Holly and Stephen’s Saturday Showdown. The 15 x 30 minute series will see the puppets sending up the game-show genre, including games like ‘The Wheel of Misfortune’ and ‘The Price is Wrong’. It will air in 2007.

My guess to the theme tune composers are ' Mr Miller & Mr Porter ' as It sounds like one of their creations.
