That would most probably be a wise decision, I wouldn't be surprised if the F1 coverage has been lengthened to start earlier just so that they have to continue over on the new channel and attract some of the Saturday Showdown viewers to it. In the same way that ITV3 launched with a drama premiere, and ITV4 launched with Champions League football, Saturday Showdown is most probably CiTV's strongest show, in terms of ratings that is.
The only thing that they'll have to sort out now is the platforms that it will be available on. Though as has been said, I'm sure that if they can't get a channel up and running on Sky, and NTL, they could always just broadcast it on ITV4. Telewest will be a different matter.
I e-mailed Saturday Showdown regarding the mention of Ram Ray and whether it would be returning and about the doctor while i was at it and i got a reply today and they said "we cant reveal anything at the moment, tune in this saturday to find out" I've got a 50% chance that Ram Ray will be back soon and im not so sure on the doctor returning.
If they were to reintroduce the Doc they could make use of the understair cupboard (is that still used?) by placing the wardrobe in that space. They had been doing experiements more often out of the lab so the same linking technique could be used in Saturday Showdown. I think the show is missing something since the Doc left.

I agree, the show dosent feel complete with out the doctor there. I would of thought they could of used the doctor in someway to tie in with the boys V girls format like Holly and Stephen guessing what will happen in the experiment to score points for the boys or girls team.
does anyone know if theres in vision community , there wont be think they done away with that sudio, i hope they bring back swag, and anyway what happened to zig & zag or otis. is there going to be ANY live stuff instead of ss extra which is just an excuse to finish ss earlier on a saturday morning, maybe making more space for cd:uk and f1. i have an idea that the could host an hal an hour show from the flat every weekday on the citv channel. p.s. theres a rumour that andi peters will present on citv channel
