The old CiTV & Ministry of Mayhem Thread started with a question:

Quote:
Did anyone see CiTV this afternoon; put it on and before art attack Michael was on about the weekend, saying that on smtv theyve got a big announcement or something! I dont know what this is about; or if thats what he actually said!

And now 204434 views & 3998 replies later the thread is finally closed.

Here's a new one for CiTV & Saturday Showdown,

I didn't see the trailer, can someone capture it?. I really hope that Dominic Wood was being sarcastic about the format of the Saturday Showdown.

in that forum of his he seemed quite bitter towards MOM, funny that Laughing

Oh and the wikipedia page for list of CiTV shows has been updated to:

Ministry of Mayhem (2004-2005)
Holly and Stephens Saturday Showdown (2006-)

On the last MOM in the lab Stephen said "This is the last lab of 2005" so it sounds like that the regular crew will be back. I'll be looking out for the trailer. Was the set much different in the trailer?

At last a new thread. Completly missed the news about Finders Keepers and Saturday Showdown until I read it in the TV Guide.

The other thread really should have gone when SM:TV did! Can we please try and have any major developments started in new threads please!

Anyhow, I expect it was discussed in the depths of the CITV thread - but why is MoM changing to Saturday Showdown when it looks like it'll be the same presenters and alot of the same features?

I think they are trying their best to move away from it appearing to be a 'Ministry of Mayhem' as being a Ministry limited ideas and Mayhem has become rather limited. So by changing the onscreen name is probably an attempt to do that.

I agree, a couple months ago I had a glance back through the other thread and it wasn't until page 100-and-something Ministry of Mayhem actually started, still that's in the past now. However I'll request in advance can discussion regarding the forthcoming 'ITV Kids channel' by placed in a seperate thread.

saturday showdown might take turns with M.O.M to be the saturday show because it does seem unlikely that they wouldn't mention it in last weeks show that it was finishing. S.S is more than a name change its a totally new show format so it makes me think M.O.M may return

Theres a rumour going around that the new show will have a format identical to Dick N Dom's show but this is mainly because it was started by a thread by Dom on his website and people have taken him as a messiah and taken it as gospel that it will happen but obviously the only way is to wait and see next Saturday.

Stephen also said at the end of the show- "for the last time in 2005- mom's the word", so it sounds like it could come back (but i doubt it)

All that was just to keep the surprise.

If they'd have said 'for the last time ever' without mentioning the new show it would have got everyone in a panic

First of all, my baby has died! But 300 odd pages was pushing it a bit. Thankyou to everyone that contributed to that thread, here's hoping that it will continue!

Back on track... I wonder why MoM/Saturday Showdown are always so secretive about things. Surely if it was promoted as the last show, it would have attracted more attention, even if they were to say at the end that they would actually all be back on January 7th.

As for Saturday Showdown, can you repost that cap Andrew as I somehow can't see it in the old thread.

It should be interesting to see what the show brings. Hopefully it won't be a copy of Dick & Dom, more a mix of programmes. I wouldn't mind if it had elements of Dick & Dom, but not stealing ideas such as playing games for points, etc.

It'd be a sad day for Saturday Morning if that were the case, plus surely it would drive people away from ITV1, especially those that don't like the Dick & Dom format and have watched MoM as an alternative.
