The CITV dog was called 'Scally' not Scruffy. And I didn't mind Tommy Boyd, he was on a different wavelength from other presenters (considering he was 40ish) unlike Crane, Schofield, Peters etc.

And heres Scally, one of the better tv puppets in my opinion. Ok, gonna search out some Roland Rat stuff.

Well, with how small that Central News studio is then I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the corner of the CITV studio!
They could a Breakfast style handover to Central News and whats coming up at six with Bob Warman saying Good Evening so that younger viewers would be encouraged to watch and the whole ITV network of course!

I remember Bertha!!
#Bertha lovely Bertha!
My favourite Bertha character was that indian/hindu bloke who drove the frok-lift truck! And remember that little robotty thing that used to whizz around, its eyes used to light up if it was happy or cross!!
Pigeon Street - another of my favourites
Simon and the witch - (last shown in the late 1980s)
Fingermouse! - I loved that, it would seem very cheap and tacky nowadays, but i liked it, probably for its surrealness, and it was like being in the twilight zone when watching
and finally, does anyone remember Stoppit and Tidyup? They were these two creatures who lived ona rubbish dump, and it was narrated by Terry Wogan.
