Are they likely to have studio based presenter links at all?

I had always assumed that that would be the intention.

Or maybe not. Who knows? They did abandon in vision continuity on ITV1, so who's to say it'll be brought back just for the channel? I mean, apart from CBBC/Cbeebies, all the children’s channels (AFAIK) have abandoned in vision continuity, and I would have thought that ITV would just do the same, to save money.

Maybe when they say rebranding, they just mean new idents?

Just a thought, I'm probably completely wrong...

Well, now is as good a time as any to get the new ITV logo out across the board... cue some dodgy mocks putting a big "C" in front of the ITV corporate logo... Rolling Eyes

Normally when people make mocks for all the channels (ITV 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc), they also make mocks for the children's output which are in the same style as the rest of the channels. Personally I don't think these look good.

Fine, have the corporate logo somewhere in the logo, as in the CBBC logo, however, when they are in the exact same style as the rest, they don't look good.

CiTV's brand should stay seperate from the rest of the ITV logo's the BBC logo in CBBC is designed by putting a big C in front of the corporate logo, ITV could only do the same and it would look like they copied

As for some dodgy mock, how about this...

No. It's too boring for a children's television channel.

I wasn't being serious, I was just illustrating my earlier point of mocks following the rest of the corporate identity.

if CiTV did change to the corporate logo it would look some like something along those lines, obviously a lot better but all together that look is awful

Yeah, basically it was a quick (dare I call it) mock in PowerPoint...

Look, even the two blues aren't the same colour...

When the CBBC channel first launched, the cumbersome phrases "CBBC on BBC One" and "CBBC on BBC Two" seemed to get used, for extra clarity. Thankfully, these seem to have later lapsed into the shorter "CBBC One" and "CBBC Two".

So, I wonder if we'll hear the phrase "CITV on ITV1" used for a wee while after the CITV channel's initial launch?

CBBC on BBC One sounded awful, but CITV on ITV1 sounds even worse!

maybe the names won't change they'll just stick a 1 or channel at the end to make it clear what you should be watching to see certain shows. The new channel only seems to be called CiTV not CiTV channel.
