Stephen asked an interesting question this morning he said "we've done 129 shows, where's all the money gone?" Laughing

Looking forward to next week, Sniff is also returning (that will be interesting) I wonder if Polly and Cakey sk8 will be back?

I'm looking forward to seeing the Doc and Mr Lee again but I think next weeks show will be sad showing the best bits, etc. It was sad enough seeing Ray's best bits which also included parts from MOM.

I don't know why MOM/Showdown can't come back after the summer or why they were axed in the first place. They should just leave it on the CiTV channel as it has really improved, especially over recent weeks Sad

I'm fairly certain the immuendo has increased as well.

(After Stephen discovered the others were playing witches & wizzards without him...)
Stephen: "I'm off to play with myself... ...and my invisible friend Geoffrey."

Also after the girl band had finished that game with the strawberries and cream the two guys from prove it were staring in to space and said together "every boys fantasy" Laughing

Radio Times is reporting Saturday Showdown to be on the CiTV channel on the 8th July from 9-25. Could they be repeating it?

Could it be that they are going to be showing the best bits? It does happen quite often when programmes end.

I like the fact that they are acknowledging the past so that it's the end of their era of Saturday Mornings rather than just the end of Showdown.

It's a shame that the Channel budget can't stretch to just keeping it on the channel if nothing else.

Holly & Stephen are a combination that shouldn't be dropped easily. Here's to them filling in for Phil & Fern on This Morning next school holidays!

From the showdown website:

Saturday Showdown is available exclusively on The CiTV Channel. You can find it on Sky 624, Freeview 75, Telewest 734, Homechoice 307 and from Tuesday 6 June on NTL 76 & 602.

There’ll be more cartoon fun with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Bratz.

We’ll also be looking back over the past two and a half years of Saturday mornings, including clips from Showdown and Ministry Of Mayhem too. We’ll also be bringing back some classics bits from the shows.

With all this going on in the flat, you’d be crazy to miss it!

Thanks to everyone who has watched the show - see you on Saturday for the final Showdown!

I hope they end with the original Ministry ending and the gunge tank.
Sound like a good show, lets hope the clips are good clips.

Would be nice if they did the Ministry of Mayhem song, for old times sake!

Yes, for once I agree with you. Any videos of the final Showdown / MOM will be much appreciated.

I'll be too busy doing my own TV work Wink

so it's the end of decent Saturday morning children's television on the ITV Network. It has had its good times and bad times. Long may it rest in peace.

Good - TISWAS, No73/7T3/Motormouth, Get Fresh, Gimme 5, the show with the Baljit puppet in it, Ghost Train, The Disney Club (the pre-GMTV days), SM:TV, Ministry of Mayhem/MOM, Saturday Showdown (the final few weeks on CiTV Channel)

Bad - Saturday Banana, many of the summer shows, and the one with the horrible looking animated dragon - now on POP tv.

But as soon as Shaps and Allen goes, I do hope the new bosses learn from the mistake and return children's programming to the fold. How else is a station going to indoctrinate the young to watch their channel for life! Very Happy
