As has been said, even though they want to make it a big success on Freeview, with the only competition being CBBC & CBeebies, I don't expect that they will just not air CITV on Sky and NTL until May, and beyond. They will most probably air it on ITV4 in the 6-6 slot. Well its better than just airing the ITV4 logo, and they'll most probably just advertise it as it airing on the ITV4 downtime, and also in the EPG as CITV:Promogramme Name.
Of course it will most probably be available via add channels, but what people have to think is that it's a channel aimed at children, so children and most probably most parents wouldn't use this feature.

Showdown Extra is 20 minutes? Why go to the trouble if it's only going to be 20 minutes. They could have made it half an hour at least.

oh really? well the bbc felt there was an issue with bbc three programmes airing on cbbc's epg position on dtt back when there were problems with the switching. so theres a likelihood citv could be equally uncomfortable about mixing citv and itv4
